Der halbe Schnittmusteranzug besteht aus dem Vordertheil A mit den beiden Brustfaltentheilen A¹A², den beiden Seitentheilen B und C und dem Rückentheil D. Für jeden dieser Theile ist ein durchgehender Längsstab α angeordnet. Derselbe dient als Träger für die staffelartig über einander angeordneten Querstäbe b, von denen immer einer nach rechts und einer nach links abzweigt. Die Stäbe a und b b kreuzen sich in einem gemeinschaftlichen Gehäuse c, in welchem sie durch eine Schraube lösbar verbunden sind. Die äufseren Enden der Querstäbe b sind zu Oesen b¹ umgebogen; durch dieselben gehen biegsame Drähte d lose hindurch, welche oberhalb am Apparat befestigt sind, unterhalb aber frei auslaufen. Zu diesem Zwecke werden die Stäbe V und b¹⁰ angeordnet, welche mit den Stäben b ⁷ und b ⁸ drehbar verbunden sind. Letztere sind am hinteren 'Ende mit Längsschlitzen versehen und sitzen mit dem Längsstabe α des Brustfaltentheils A¹ in einem auf a verschiebbaren Gehäuse c, dessen Feststellschraube f durch ihre Schlitze hindurchgreift, so dafs sie sich in dem Gehäuse verschieben und drehen können (s. Fig. 5). Beim Mafsnehmen wird das Gehäuse auf den seitlichen Ausgangspunkt der Brustwölbung hingeschoben und die Stäbe b⁹ und b¹⁰ mit ihren äufseren Enden auf der Brustmitte über dem höchsten Punkt der Wölbung eingestellt, so dafs sich die Stäbe b¹ und b⁸ decken (Fig. 1). In der Ebene entfernen sich die Stäbe b⁷ und b^e von einander (genau wie unterhalb die Drähte d, durch welche sie auch ersetzt werden können) und bilden einen keilförmigen Einschnitt, welcher die Hälfte der zu ermittelnden Figur darstellt (Fig. 2). Die zweite Hälfte gehört zur anderen Körperhälfte und ist auf der Zeichnung einpunktirt. Der Längsstab α im Vordertheil A ist in der Gegend der Brustwölbung unterbrochen, um die Flachlegung nicht zu verhindern. In der Rückenwölbung sind ähnliche Ausnäher zu berücksichtigen, deren Ermittelung in derselben Weise erfolgt. Eine Bestimmung dieser horizontal gestreckten Schnittmustercontouren oder sogenannten Ausnäher ist bisher noch von keinem Apparate versucht worden und war mit dem bisher verwendeten Rahmensystem auch gar nicht möglich. Vielmehr mufste der Schneider ihre Gröfse versuchsweise und willkürlich annehmen und etwa Fehlendes bei der Anprobe nachholen. Similar details are to be taken into account in the curvature of the back, which are determined in the same way. A determination of these horizontally stretched pattern contours or so-called sewing patterns has not yet been attempted by any apparatus and was not even possible with the frame system used up to now. Rather, the tailor had to assume their size on a trial basis and arbitrarily and make up for anything missing when trying on them. The new device, on the other hand, makes the annoying trying on completely unnecessary.

Sonach bietet das hier verwendete Stabsystem drei wesentliche Vortheile. Erstens sichert es die absolute Flachlegung des Apparates; zweitens kann durch Vermehrung der Stäbe jede gewünschte Genauigkeit erzielt werden, und drittens wird die Ermittelung der horizontal gestreckten Schnittmustercontouren, das sind die sogenannten Ab- oder Ausnäher, ermöglicht. Dieselben bestehen aus einem hohlen Kästchen (s. Fig. 3 und 4), welches an allen vier Seiten zum Einschieben der Stäbe offen ist. Oben nimmt das Kästchen c in einem Gewinde die Schraube f mit dem vertical federnden Handhebel g auf. Letzterer besitzt unterhalb den Stift g ', welcher die Schraube / gegen Verdrehung sichert, indem er in Stelllöcher h des Gehäusedeckels einschnappt. Zwischen der Schraube^ und den zu verbindenden Stäben a b liegt die etwas gewölbte Platte i, welche beim Anziehen der Schraube den Druck auf die Stäbe in dem Mafse vertheilt, dafs ein Verrücken derselben unmöglich ist. Das Schraubengewinde ist" derart gewählt, dafs eine ganz kurze Drehung zur Lösung und Wiederfeststellung der Stäbe genügt. In einem solchen Gehäuse kann man infolge der geringen Dicke der verwendeten Metallstäbe deren 3 bis 5 unterbringen und in jeder möglichen Lage unverrückbar feststellen. Aufserdem gewährt diese Einrichtung den Vortheil grofser Uebersichtlichkeit und sicherer Handhabung des ganzen Apparates.The following device has been made for an easy and safe solution and connection of the intersecting bars. Claims

Patent claim: An apparatus for the production of patterns by means of a rod system, characterized by the following arrangements in connection with one another:
