Combined hand lever and crank drive for hospital elevators.
There are known elevators with a combined hand lever and pedal crank drive.
With these, the crank drive is by eire behind the patient's seat on a
special saddle seat is used by a healthy person while the hand lever
can set the patient in the hospital seat in motion.
auftreten. The essential feature of the invention is that the pedals
for the pedal crank drive on a common, with two offset under 18o °
Cranks provided shaft are attached. But since to drive through the curves
The rear wheels of the hospital elevator must be independent of one another, according to the invention
only one wheel and one hand lever with the said crankshaft carrying the pedals
connected, while the other rear wheel is on a special one, with the second hand lever
related crankshaft sits, although both crankshafts through
a suitable link to support each other, but in their movements
are independent of each other. Since both pedals are mounted on the same shaft,
so there is a rigid connection between them. Through this rigid connection
the pedals will prevent the 'angle of i 8o' at which the pedals
are offset from one another when driving through a curve, although the speed changes
of the inner wheel is less than that of the outer. Preventing a
Changing the offset of the pedals is absolutely necessary, if not the
The person pedaling should be exposed to great discomfort.
Furthermore it is achieved by the subject matter of the invention that despite the K onstanthalt
the displacement of the cranks against each other, the rear wheels in their movements
are independent of each other, so that there are no difficulties whatsoever when driving through a curve
appear.
The invention is shown in the drawing in an exemplary embodiment,
namely shows: Fig. i a side view of the entire hospital elevator, Fig.2 a
View of the rear-wheel drive from above, Figure 3 shows a section through the connecting link
the two crankshafts serving bearings.
steht.
The patient seat 2 and is on the frame i of the hospital elevator
the foot box 3 attached. At the rear end of the frame, q is located on the rod.
the saddle seat 5. At the front end of the frame is a front fork 6, which the
Front wheel 7 carries, arranged, while the rear frame end of the wheels 8 and
9 is worn. The wheel 8 is attached to the double-cranked crankshaft i o.
The crank 1 oa of the crankshaft io carries the pedal i i, the crank praises the pedal
i--. At the crank i oa also engages the push rod 13, which with the lever arm
14 of the hand lever 15 in connection
stands. The wheel 9 is on the
Crankshaft r 6 attached, on whose crank the push rod 17 engages. This stands
with the lever arm 18 of the hand lever i9 in connection. To connect the two crankshafts
r o and 16 with each other, the crankshaft io runs with its end 2o in the
Sleeve 21 located ball bearings 22, 23, 24 and 24. The sleeve 21 is on the crankshaft
16 attached. As a result, the two crankshafts support each other, but
they are independent of one another in their movements.
The mode of operation of the invention is as follows: the person on the saddle seat 5 drives only the wheel 8 by means of the pedals ii, 12. With simultaneous movement of the hand lever by the sitting person in the invalid chair the Tretarbeit acting on the wheel 8 is supported by the work of the hand lever 15, while the wheel 9 is driven solely by the tiller 1. 9 If the pedals ii and 12 are used alone, only the wheel 8 is driven directly ;; while the wheel 9 runs along without a direct drive. The technical advantage achieved by the invention essentially consists in the fact that the pedals maintain their steepness relative to one another without the two rear wheels being prevented from adopting different speeds when driving through a curve.
