Bei der Art und Weise der Sicherung des Vorbandes an Pinseln nach P. R. No. 27345 kommt es hin und wieder doch noch vor, dafs die hinteren Bänder locker werden und losrutschen. Es ist dies namentlich dann der Fall, wenn die vorderen Abtheilungen des Vorbandes, welche cylindrisch sind, abgebunden sind, d. h. wenn der Pinsel so weit verschlissen ist, dafs ein als Fortsetzung des Stieles eingelegter Korkstopfen entfernt werden mufs und die Haare deshalb dichter zusammengezogen oder gebunden werden können und darum eine mehr spitz zulaufende Form annehmen. Es läfst sich jedoch dieser Nachtheil nach der nachstehend beschriebenen und in beiliegender Zeichnung dargestellten verbesserten Art der Herstellung des Vorbandes sehr gut vermeiden.In the way of securing the opening tape on brushes according to P. Eine grofse Schwierigkeit verursacht die ältere Art des Einbindens der Stäbchen α dadurch, dafs sie mit den Haaren zugleich in die Zwinge oder in den Kluppenstiel eines Pinsels eingelegt werden müssen. Das Auflöthen der einzelnen Stäbchen auf die betreffenden Abtheilungen verhindert auch das Zusammenfallen der Drahtbindung, wie es jetzt, wie oben erwähnt, hin und wieder vorkommt.
