Description

It is known that when phosphates are processed in electric or shaft furnaces, a corresponding amount of phosphorus is deposited on the iron as iron phosphide. FeBP to Fe.P are known with a technical content of phosphorus of about 16 to 23 percent P.

It is also known to add so much iron ore, etc. admit that all of the phosphorus remains bound to iron. Now when you come across this Amount of ferrous supplements goes beyond and moreover, depending on the composition of the rock phosphate to be fused, further surcharges in the form of aluminum, Calcium: or Si; licii; umoxvden or all of them added together, so ate on the one hand all phosphorus is bound to iron as iron phosphide and also the composition the slag corresponds to that of a high-strength molten cement one next to iron phosphide, which is phosphoric acid and other phosphorus compounds can result or represents a market commodity as such, as well as molten cement as a valuable by-product.

This method has thanks to the fact that through the iron all Phosphorus is bound and as a result no traces of phosphorus oxides are unfavorable can act on the slag, nor the advantage that it can be easily found in the Hand has to add the amount of iron oxide to the molten cement from the outset that which is necessary for a good quality of the same.

If one assumes from the outset that aluminate phosphates are the raw material, then In addition to the iron addition, you only need to add lime and silica.

-a. Process for the simultaneous production of iron phosphide and molten cement, characterized in that iron ores or iron waste and further such additives of aluminum, calcium and silicon oxide, depending on the composition of the raw phosphate to be processed, are added to the electric or shaft furnace reduction melt, that in addition to iron phosphide, a high-quality molten cement will be produced. -a. Process according to Claim 1, characterized in that aluminate phosphates are used as the starting material which, in addition to the iron addition, only require one of calcium oxide and silicon oxide or one of both to achieve the effect mentioned.
