Device for feeding water tube boilers. The invention relates to
a device for feeding water tube boilers and has the purpose of feeding the feed water
during the introduction and acquisition of irn. Upper boiler completely from the walls
keep away from the upper boiler. For this purpose, a well-known, open-topped one is used
Trough used, which protrudes above the highest water level and in which
the feed water is introduced. According to the invention
will now
Pipes connected to this trough above the highest water level of the boiler contents,
which protrude into the downpipes of the boiler element and through which the
fed water is introduced directly into the pipe without the boiler wall or
to touch the rolling point. So the water falls through these downpipes
which are usually somewhat heated in the lower boiler, where it is with the full
Mixes water content of the lower boiler and as a result of its distribution over the whole
Length of the lower boiler local cooling can no longer occur. Besides
the water is usually up to steam temperature due to its stay in the trough
preheated.
Linien dargestellt. Es ist ein Oberkessel a im Querschnitt gezeichnet;
In the drawing, an embodiment of the invention is shown in simple lines. An upper boiler a is drawn in cross section; b are the downpipes connected to the upper boiler, while c are the steam generating pipes. In the upper boiler there is a trough d, open at the top, in which the feed pipe is arranged at some distance above the floor, which can consist of a tube provided with numerous openings, while a drain pipe is located on the floor, around which sludge may collect there to drain outside. A number of pipes are connected to the trough, which open into the trough above the highest water level of the boiler and the lower end of which is inserted into downpipes in such a way that the feed water flowing through them does not come into contact with the boiler drum or with the rolling point of the pipes. Such a large ring cross-section remains free between the pipes and the pipes that a sufficient amount of water from the boiler content pours into the pipes even when there is no feed. The number of these pipes is dimensioned in such a way that it is sufficient to discharge the maximum feed power of the pump. The heat transfer from the boiler contents to the feed water takes place both through the wall of the trough d and from the steam by precipitation on the water surface of the trough, so that all water that flows through the pipesg is taken from the surface of the water content of the trough, i.e. has been in contact with the steam content of the upper boiler and has thus assumed steam temperature.
