Um eine gemeinsame Achse drehbar ist eine beliebige Anzahl über einander liegender Scheiben df h k m o, auf deren Rändern die Buchstaben des Alphabets dargestellt sind , wie Fig. 5 zeigt. Diese Scheiben nehmen nach oben so viel an Gröfse ab (s. Fig. ι und 2), dafs die Ränder mit den Buchstaben der einzelnen Scheiben vorstehen. Zwischen je zwei dieser drehbaren Scheiben ist eine feststehende Scheibe c eglin angeordnet von der Gröfse der darunter befindlichen drehbaren Scheibe; diese festen Scheiben haben je einen Ausschnitt v, Fig. 6, welche Ausschnitte radial zusammenliegend angeordnet sind, so dafs die einzelnen Buchstaben der im übrigen verdeckten drehbaren Scheiben, an dieser Stelle sichtbar werdend, zu einem Wort vereinigt werden können.
