Verfahren zum Rösten oxydischer und carbonatischer Erze. Bei den bisher üblichen Röstverfahren geht man so vor, daß die Erze entweder mit Brennstoffen gemischt und durch deren Verbrennung oder durch besondere Gasfeuerungen erhitzt werden. Dabei finden Austreibung etwa vorhandener Kohlensäure und Übergang der niedrigen Oxydationsstufen des betreffenden- Metalles in die höheren statt. Es wurde auch erkannt, daß bei diesem Vorgang Wärme entwickelt wird, jedoch hat man bisher in der Praxis die für eine Ausnutzung dieser Wärmemengen erforderlichen Schlüsse nicht gezogen.Process for roasting oxide and carbonate ores.
