Hochspannungstrockentransformator der Kerntype mit Zylinderwjcklung, dessen Oberspannungswicklung unter Verwendung zweier bewickelter Schenkel auf mehrere konzentrische, in Reihe geschaltete Tragzylinder aus Isolierstoff verteilt ist. Hochspannungstransformatoren mit Luftisolation bieten namentlich für Prüfzwecke mancherlei Vorteile gegenüber solchen mit Ölisolation. Die für Öltransformatoren bisher gefundenen Lösungen für die Anordnung der Wicklungen sind aber nicht ohne weiteres für Transformatoren mit Luftisolation zu verwenden. Von wesentlicher Bedeutung ist z. B. die Notwendigkeit der stetigen Erneuerung der Luft an allen Stellen, damit sie ihren Aufgaben zur Kühlung und Isolierung gerecht werden kann.
