Power transformer for high voltage. In recent years, winding arrangements of power transformers for high voltage have become known in which the oil generally used between the high and low voltage windings has been replaced by a cylinder made of solid material.
In this way, quite considerable shrinkage was achieved, and with it a substantial saving in weight and costs, the transformer, as well as a considerable increase in the limit performance for rail transport.
The solid insulating cylinder between the high-voltage and low-voltage windings made it possible to shorten the previous distance between the windings by more than half, but of course it also resulted in a corresponding compression of their electrical fields, and control of the same was primarily achieved on the front sides of the Windings difficulty. The danger of the formation of sliding discharges with subsequent flashovers or breakthroughs at the end of the winding could be eliminated or at least strongly contained by various measures.
For example, to shield the spray edges of these winding ends, the insulating cylinder was folded over at its exit points from the winding space around both windings in such a way that flanges were created against them, or it was only folded over the end faces of the high-voltage winding with a strong spread and. the spray edges of the low-voltage winding fronts are shielded by means of advanced electrodes.
Both the upper and lower voltage windings have also been completely wrapped in paper, with the paper layers spreading strongly over the winding strands at the same time. With all these measures, however, it was only possible to reduce the distance between the high-voltage and low-voltage windings, while the distance between the high-voltage winding and the yoke of the iron core was not or only slightly reduced.
However, this distance from the yoke is of decisive importance for the smooth running of the profile, especially in the case of high-voltage transformers with a high output, because of the sharp tapering of the track profile at its crest.
The present invention is based on the task of fully exploiting the advantage of solid insulation not only between the high and low voltage windings, but also between the high voltage winding and the yoke of the iron core, in the case of high voltage power transformers.
The subject of the invention is a power transformer for high voltage with solid insulation between the upper and lower voltage winding, which is wrapped around the forehead of the high voltage winding, in which, according to the invention, the spatial parts of the strongest voltage gradient of the field due to solid insulation .with adjacent layers running across the field lines are filled out,
that the field-controlling electrodes rest on this insulation and that the solid insulation between the overvoltage winding and the tube emerges from the control electrodes flanking it in a fan-shaped split.
In the figure, an exemplary embodiment of the invention is shown schematically in longitudinal section. a designates the column and h the yoke of the iron core. With c, the upper voltage winding and with e. = The lower en voltage winding. d is the solid insulation between the windings, which is folded over at the exit point from the winding space around the face of the high-voltage winding c.
The solid insulation d has stripes lying next to one another, running across the field lines, which fill the parts of the space with the greatest tension gradient. f "f-, and f 3 are field-controlling electrodes.
The electrodes f ,, f2 and f3 are shaped and arranged in such a way that the electric field between the winding ends and the yoke does not assume impermissible values at any point, the insulation being designed so that the insulating dielectric also has the greatest voltage drop at the locations with the greatest voltage drop has its greatest strength, i.e. between f, and f "or between f, and f". The space between f, and < I> f 3 is so strongly relieved by these electrodes due to their approximately equal potential,
that there is practically no more gradient there, so the insulation can be loosened up here. The growth of the solid insulation into the space between the electrodes f2, yoke and f 3 results from the manufacturing process when the insulating coil is folded around the ends of the high-voltage coil. The electrodes f, and f3 also generate a strong field decrease on their outer circumference, which reduces the risk of flashover at the exit of the solid insulation into the outside space.
The insulation between the high voltage winding and the yoke is. in such a way that it spreads in a fan shape from the control electrodes f 1, f 3 into the outside space, the outer fan beams of the emerging insulation clinging closely to the flanking electrodes and in particular covering the electrode walls so that a rollover of f, on the yoke is held back substantially.
