bekannten Schleifwagen oder Automaten, also Zubringer bzw.
Rotatable work table on machines for grinding facets on the
Edges, especially of glass plates. The invention relates to an apparatus that
(read faceting and edge processing on square and rectangular panels, in particular
made of glass, on all four sides possible without turning and realigning the workpiece.
The -new consists in that to facilitate the adjustment of rectangular
Glass plates of very unequal side lengths of the upper, rotatable about a central axis,
the workpiece-carrying table is mounted on a second lower, which is around a
Lateral axis near the grinding wheel can be swiveled and locked. Until now
known grinding trolleys or machines, i.e. feeders or carriers of the workpiece,
carry a swiveling table, frame or slide and do after grinding
the facet or edge on one side has to be removed, turned, and straightened every time
and it may be necessary to fasten the workpiece, as often as the sides or
Edges are to be processed. The workbench of the subject matter of the invention is conditional
a single placement and straightening of the workpiece. In addition to this benefit
Inevitably a second one, namely the one with the turning over of the workpiece
associated risk of breakage and damage to the workpiece is reduced to a minimum
will.
The accompanying drawings. constitute the subject of the invention
for example. Fig. r is a side view of the work table according to the invention.
Fig. Z is a plan for Fig. I, while the workpiece is only
indicated. Figure 3 is a cross-section through, on an enlarged scale
the head of the worktable facing your grindstone.
the
Operation of the apparatus is as follows: The workpiece 18 to be ground is on
placed on the upper frame, table or slide 2, directed and by means of suitable
Clamping screws or fastened in any other suitable manner. With grinding machines, at
which the workpiece is fed to the grindstone 21 from below, this holding device
can be omitted and replaced by another if necessary. The frame, sledge
or table can be made of wood, metal or other suitable material,
but is in any case on the side facing up with felt, rubber or
Cork should be covered to prevent damage to the workpiece.
Zapfen 15
This frame, carriage or table 2 can be rotated about a central axis 12 and at this point rests on the lower frame or table i. Two or more pins 1 5 engage in grooves that are in sufficient quantity in guide rails 1q. of the lower table i are embedded and prevent the upper table 2 from slipping. These grooves have been omitted from the drawing. It is understood that the connection or attachment of the upper table 2 to the lower i can also take place in another suitable manner. A locking device 16 prevents unwanted rotation of the upper table 2. The axis i2 rests together with the locking device 16 in a bearing 13 which is installed in a suitable manner. The lower table, frame or carriage i is mounted on the side facing the grindstone 21 in a special slide bearing 5, 6_, whereby a back and forth movement of the table i is made possible by means of the rotary spindle 7. This is used to compensate for the differences in width between the workpieces. The lower table i gets further support from the axis 3, which is in a bearing q. is housed. The lower table i can be rotated about this axis 3. The designated 6 part of the lower bearing for the table i is in fixed connection with the rods ii, the; with their ends shaped to form eyelets 8, grip around a longer axis 28 and thereby allow the entire apparatus to oscillate, as is already known. This axis 28 has by means of already. known rotating spindles 9 connection with the known back and forth movable undercarriage indicated by io. In the case of underframes to be moved by hand, it is advisable to mount a frame 22 with a handle 2q., Which frame is supported in an arm 23. The workbench can be attached to the grinding trolleys or machines known up to now without great difficulty, but it can also be of a different type of the holding and subframe 1.1, 8, 9, 28, 22, 23, 24. It is also possible to mount the workbench on the previously known or customary frames or slides, completely omitting the support and base frame provided in the drawings, as the design of the support and base frame is a question of expediency. The frame or table 2 is variable in size, adapted to the sizes of the workpieces to be processed, ie it can either be pushed in and apart, or, as provided in the accompanying drawings, it is kept in stock in the dimensions that the Correspond to the dimensions of the workpieces to be machined. From this it is evident that the workbench should serve first and foremost for the processing of recurring series. Differences in length of the workpieces are compensated for by moving the upper table or frame 2 to the right or left, differences in width by moving back and forth also in the same direction to the right or left of the lower table i by means of the rotary spindle 7 a pivoting or rotation of the upper table 2 by 180 ° is necessary, for processing the long sides a rotation or: pivoting of the lower table i by 90 ° and then for processing the second long side a rotation of the upper table 2 by 180 ° is necessary or the other way around. When processing panels with legs of the same length, the upper table is simply rotated three times.
