Description
Aus der einschlägigen Fachliteratur ist bekannt, daß die spektrale Empfindlichkeit von
Solarzellen aus amorphem Silizium im kurzwelligen Bereich (z. B. sichtbares Licht) liegt,
während die von Solarzellen aus mono- bzw. polykristallinem Silizium im längerwelligen
Bereich (z. B. infrarotes Licht) liegt.
Bisher ist es üblich für eine dimensionierte Lichtmenge amorphe oder kristalline Solarzellen zu
verwenden. Dabei kann entweder das längerwellige oder das kürzerwellige Licht nicht optimal
genutzt werden.
Der im Anspruch 1 angegebenen Erfindung liegt das Problem zugrunde, verschiedene
Wellenlängen, insbesondere des Sonnenlichtes, optimal zu nutzen.
Die mit der Erfindung erzielten Vorteile liegen im besonderen dort, wo die zu empfangene
Lichtmenge begrenzt ist. Das ist oft der Fall bei mobilen Lösungen, z. B. in der Raumfahrt oder
im Fahrzeugbau.
Es ist möglich die verschiedenen Typen von Solarzellen nebeneinander bzw. untereinander
anzuordnen. Dabei ist das Licht spektral zu zerlegen. Das ist möglich mit einem Prisma,
kleinen Löchern, an scharfen Kanten usw.
Ein Ausführungsbeispiel der Erfindung ist in der Zeichnung dargestellt.
Die Figur zeigt die
Anordnung von amorphem und mono- oder polykristallinem Silizium mit einem Prisma.
Das von einer Quelle, z. B. der Sonne, ausgesandte Licht 1 trifft auf ein Prisma 2 und wird beim
Durchtritt gebrochen. Dabei wird das kurzwellige Licht (violett) stärker gebrochen als das
langwellige Licht (rot).
Nun werden im Bereich des überwiegend violetten Lichtes amorphe Solarzellen 4 und im
Bereich des überwiegend roten Lichtes mono- bzw. polykristalline Solarzellen 5 plaziert.
In bekannter Weise wird letztendlich der Verbraucher 6 angeschlossen.

Claims (4)
1. Verfahren zur Erhöhung der Effektivität von Solarzellen,
dadurch gekennzeichnet,
daß amorphe und kristalline Solarzellen so angeordnet werden, daß die Solarzellen des
kürzerwelligen Lichtes auf die amorphen Solarzellen (4) und die Strahlen des
längerwelligen Lichtes auf die kristallinen Solarzellen (5) treffen.
2. Verfahren nach Anspruch 1,
dadurch gekennzeichnet,
daß das Licht, bevor es auf die Solarzellen trifft, spektral, vorzugsweise durch ein Prisma (2),
zerlegt wird, und die amorphen Solarzellen (4) und die kristallinen Solarzellen (5) in den
jeweilig effektiven Bereichen, vorzugsweise übereinander angeordnet werden.
3. Verfahren nach Anspruch 1,
dadurch gekennzeichnet,
daß das Licht, bevor es auf die Solarzellen trifft, vorzugsweise durch Spiegel umgeleitet
wird.
4. Verfahren nach Anspruch 1, 2 und 3,
dadurch gekennzeichnet,
daß mindestens ein Anteil des Lichtes nach der spektralen Zerlegung, bevor es auf die
Solarzellen trifft, umgeleitet wird.
