Description
Gaiter with adjustable side closure for the treatment of varicose veins. The invention relates to a gaiter with adjustable side closure for treatment of varicose veins and consists in that the inside of the gaiter with an elastic Air cushion of a known type is lined. Inside the air cushion are the front and back walls joined together in some places to allow for stretching limit of the pillow. The air space of the air cushion is divided into cells, and each cell suitably has a separate valve.
The object of the invention is on the drawing in exemplary Embodiment shown and explained below: Fig. I to 3 show diagrammatically side view of different embodiments of the new gaiter.
Abb. Fig. ¢ is a development of the gaiter, while Figs. 5 and 6 are cross-sections by showing two different embodiments.
The gaiter a is fastened to the sick leg c in a known manner by means of buckles h. The gaiter consists of a strong material d, which forms the outside of the gaiter and carries an air-containing rubber cover e on its inside, which has the exact shape of the gaiter a. This air envelope can be in one piece (Fig. 6), so that its front and rear walls are then advantageously connected to one another at some, e.g. B. are glued to limit the expansion of the air cushion. However, it can also be separated into several cells g by partitions f (Fig.5). Each air space is accessible from the outside through a valve 1a of any type, so that the air content can be regulated as desired by pumping up or deflating. The gaiter can be used on its own (Fig. I) or, in a known manner, be provided at the bottom with a transverse web i, which passes under the foot h. This gives the gaiter a better grip. For particularly severe cases, the gaiter a is expediently connected to a stocking l in the manner of the known varicose vein stockings by z. B. the basic material of the gaiter merges directly into the stocking. The gaiter according to the invention should provide a firm and secure fit and, thanks to the air cushion, cling to the leg at every point evenly so that no constrictions are to be feared. Especially in the embodiment according to Fig. 5 with cell-like subdivided air cushions, the action on the individual points of the leg can be regulated.
