Description
Schutzhaube für in Bewegung befindliche Elemente von Kraft- und Arbeitsmaschinen. Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf Schutzverdecke, wie sie bei Drehbänken, Schleifmaschinen, überhaupt bei allen Arbeitsmaschinen Verwendung finden. Derartige Verdecke wurden bisher aus Metall hergestellt. Sie bestanden vorzugsweise aus Gußeisen oder Eisenblech. Allgemein dienen diese Schutzverdecke zur Bedeckung der entsprechenden Maschinenelemente und sollen verhindern, daß Fremdkörper in die Getriebe oder auf die Gleitbahnen fallen, und ferner verhüten, daß der betreffende Arbeitsmann durch die beweglichen Getriebe verletzt wird. Diese Verdecke oder Schutzkappen müssen sich im allgemeinen der Form des zu schützenden Maschinenelements anpassen, und die Herstellung solcher Verdecke oder Schutzkappen ist schwierig. Es besteht weiterhin noch der Nachteil, daß diese gegossenen Schutzvorrichtungen, wie man diese Schutzverdecke oder Schutzkappen auch noch nennen kann, im gegossenen Falle schwer sind und leicht zerbrechlich. Dieser Nachteil wird gemäß der Erfindung dadurch behoben, daß diese Schutzverdecke aus nichtmetallischer, formbarer, nach dem Formvorgang erhärtender oder abbindender Masse bestehen, die durch Draht- oder Bandeinlagen verstärkt werden kann. Es kann zu diesem Zweck beispielsweise Holzstoff, Papiermasse, Papiermache, Preßspan, Gummi, Korkmasse oder ein anderes widerstandsfähiges Material benutzt werden. Es ist nicht notwendig, komplizierte Gußformen anzufertigen, es genügt vielmehr, eine der Umrißlinie der Schutzverdecke entsprechende Kernform zu bilden oder ein Drahtgewebe nach der Umrißlinie des zu fertigenden Verdeckes zu bauen und auf eine solche Form die Masse in plastischem oder knetbarem Zustande aufzubringen. Nach dem Erhärten oder Abbinden der Masse kann das fertige Schutzverdeck leicht von der Kernform heruntergenommen werden.
