Der Staub zeichnet sich besonders durch erhöhte Gehalte an Eisen, Zink, Blei, Kupfer, Chrom und Cadmium aus. Entsprechend der zumeist oxydischen Natur in solchen Stäuben vorliegender Schwermetalle ist auch das Auslaugeverhalten entsprechend niedrig. Die Retention wird weiterhin stark durch die Einbindung in die Bitumenmatrix begünstigt (hydrophobe Natur des Bitumens !). Im Elutionstest nach DEV S 4 konnten somit die relevanten Metalle bis zur Bestimmungsgrenze nicht nachgewiesen werden.
