Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a filter unit, which for use in a facility for making beverages such as coffee or tea Extraction serves, comprising a filter pan with a bottom and one Standing edge.
Such a filter unit is known for example from the German Publication DE 36 44 947. This filter unit is like a ver sliding drawer designed, which removed from the device can be to put new filter paper and fresh ground coffee in the filter bring in, or after a cooking process the coffee used remove flour and filter paper.
Such a facility is also used in the American Patent US 4382402 described.
Such a filter unit is used in facilities for the preparation used by relatively large amounts of coffee or tea, then arise Problems with the handling of the filter unit. If for example wise it is assumed that there is a facility for the preparation of serves 70 liters of coffee at the same time, then the filter unit with 3.25 kg ground coffee. Together with the dead weight this is Total weight of the filter unit then about 10 kilos. With such an The filter is located in directions for the preparation of large quantities of coffee unit at a fairly large distance from the floor, in some cases about 1.5 meters. To get the filter unit into place, so the user pretty much pick it up. This situation is getting worse after the cooking process. About 5 liters remain in the filter back, and the filter with the wet ground coffee then weighs about 15 Kilos and has a temperature of over 60 ° Celsius. It takes a lot Force, such a filter unit at 1.5 meters above the ground from the Remove facility.
The problem on which the invention is based is, in particular, like the (wet) filter paper with the wet ground coffee present in it the filter pan can be removed without spilling or smearing can, that immediately afterwards the filter is ready for another cooking can be put, and that all necessary operations by a arbitrary person can be executed. To avoid leftovers Ground coffee in the filter pan, it is also desirable to Filter unit so that the paper filter including pan contents can be removed without damaging the filter paper.
The invention thus provides a filter unit which is for use in a facility for the preparation of beverages such as coffee or tea serves, comprising a filter pan with a bottom and a standing edge, wherein the filter unit is characterized in that the Bottom of the filter pan with respect to the standing edge in at the standing edge arranged guide elements is displaceable.
Attention is drawn to the French publication FR 1 044 342 sen, which describes a further development of the so-called "caf´ filtres"; this are small devices that make a single cup of coffee can. According to this French publication, the actual Filter element that must be placed on the cup with a soluble one Provide bottom part. It is contemplated that this soluble bottom portion will Contains a lot of ground coffee that is used during the cooking process. The soluble bottom part can be in different ways at the bottom of the Filter pan can be arranged.
A fundamental difference with the present invention formed by the fact that not only the Bottom of the filter pan, but the bottom part together with the presence on it the ground coffee is removed. But it is precisely the goal of the front lying invention to avoid that the user after the expiry of Preparation process the used, wet, and now much more difficult handful of coffee.
The invention will now be described with reference to the accompanying figures described in more detail.

Fig. 2 shows the filter unit according to the invention in the use position and arranged over a collecting container.
Die Fig. 3a . . The Fig. 3a. . . 3d show how, by moving the bottom of the filter unit, the filter paper and the wet coffee grounds present on it can be removed after a cooking process.
Fig. 1a shows a plan view of the filter unit according to the invention. An average of this filter unit along line II is shown in Fig. 1b; another average along line II-II is shown in Fig. 1c. The bottom of this filter unit is designed like a drawer 1 with a handle 2 . A collecting container 3 is located in the upper surface of the drawer, and a wire mesh 4 is arranged above it. The collecting container is provided with an outlet opening 5 . The lower surface is designed like wire mesh or perforated plate and is therefore permeable to the coffee extract that flows out of the opening 5 during the process. The standing edge 6 of the filter unit is double-walled and provided with an inner wall 7 and an outer wall 8 . The inner wall is perforated, so that coffee extract can pass through this perforated inner wall into the space between the inner and outer wall, and can flow further down into the collecting container, from where the extract flows out through the opening 5 . In the position of use, there is a filter paper 9 in the filter unit, with coffee 10 ground therein.
The entire, designed as a drawer assembly, which (in addition to the components 9 and 10 and in the position of use) is formed of the components 1-8, is displaceable with respect to a fixed frame 11, which in Fig. 1a. . . 1c is only indicated schematically and can form part of a larger coffee-making unit. Details of such a unit are of little importance within the scope of this invention and have therefore not been granted. It is important, however, that the filter unit is arranged on the stationary frame with the aid of the drawer guides 12 and 13 in such a way that the filter unit can be pulled in or out in the horizontal direction with respect to this stationary frame 11 , as explained in more detail with reference to the following figures becomes. The drawer guides 12 and 13 are preferably of a type in which a number of rollers are used to ensure that the entire drawer runs smoothly and can therefore be handled with little force. Details of such thrust loading guides are assumed to be known to a person skilled in the art.
Fig. 2 shows the filter unit according to the invention in a position of use, the unit being arranged above a collecting container 11 which serves for collecting the coffee extract 12 . Hot water is supplied via line 13 to the upper side of the filter unit. On the filter unit is in Fig. 2, a lid 14 with therein a grid 15 , which serves as a water distributor. From the grid 15 , the water reaches the bed 10 of ground coffee. The extract flows on the one hand over the wire mesh 4 into the collecting container 3 and on the other hand also flows over the space between the double-walled standing edge 6 into this collecting container 3 . The extract collected in the collecting container flows out through the outlet opening 5 and is collected in the container 11 . The container 11 is provided with a tap 16 , via which coffee can be drawn off.
After the cooking process, the container 11 is removed under the filter unit. In general, these containers are designed as large mobile kettles, possibly with an insulating jacket and, if necessary, a heating unit, in order to keep the coffee in the container at a predetermined temperature.
After removing the container 11 , a trash can is placed under the filter unit and the drawer 1 is removed, as a result of which the filter paper, including wet, used coffee grounds, falls out of the filter unit and gets into the trash can. The manner in which this is done is shown in detail in FIG. 3.
In Fig. 3a the position is shown immediately after the cooking process. The drawer 1 is still in the same position as during the cooking process. After a trash can or a waste container has been placed under the filter unit, the handle on the drawer is pulled, as is indicated schematically by the arrow 17 in FIG. 3b. As can also be seen from FIG. 3b, the filter paper and the wet ground coffee present therein begin to sink a little downwards on the right-hand side of the figure. In Fig. 3c, the drawer 1 is already pulled out further below the standing edge and the filter paper has also been lowered further down. In Fig. 3d the end position has been reached, the drawer being pulled out completely below the standing edge and the filter paper together with the wet ground coffee present can fall down unhindered.
As shown in the figures, the standing edge is preferred designed such that the diameter of the upper side larger than that Diameter of the bottom side is. Due to this conical shape of the standing edge the filter paper becomes some as it falls down dimensions pressed together, causing the wet ground coffee to fall in the trash can is better enclosed. This will open up the possibility possible splashes on arrival in the trash can are greatly reduced.
Wie weiter vor allem in den Fig. 3a . . As further above all in Fig. 3a. . . 3d is shown, the rear edge of the drawer, the edge over which the filter paper slides while pulling out the drawer, is rounded to avoid possible damage to the filter paper. The wire mesh, which protrudes to some extent from the upper surface of the filter drawer, is rounded on the back to avoid damaging the filter paper.
In the embodiment shown, the upper side of the collecting container 3 is provided with a grid which is formed from a number of parallel rods. In principle, it is possible to design the upper side as a perforated plate, but the use of a wire mesh with parallel rods that are parallel to the sliding movement of the drawer is preferred because the chance of damaging the filter paper is also relatively small is.
