Abstract
Description
Patent anspruches. The invention relates to a composite foam of polyure than foam rubbers according to the preamble of the 1st patent claim.
The use of shaped bodies of composite foams on various applications is known. You will find many things tig use in the packaging industry and to a great extent in the automotive industry. So they become upholstery and too Insulating used in automotive body parts.
From DE-AS 29 49 392 it can be seen that such Foamed rubber composite foams and a polyure Than binder still in addition solid constituents in form an aqueous dispersion and / or an aqueous solution sets that the composite foams against only with Po polyurethane binders produced composite foams ver to give improved properties. Flame retardant Composite foams are described in DE-OS 38 25 251 and the DE-PS 35 42 326 thereby obtained that untreated polyure Than-foam flakes with flame-retardant impregnated foam mixed fluff or flakes one in the fire if inflatable intumescent material is added.
When using molded bodies of flake composite foam In the automotive sector, it has repeatedly been called disadvantageously found that these moldings moisture record and save. This will in the long term the Ge usability of such shaped bodies of flake composite foam reduced and by the fact that possibly on the Molded body moisture collected on the metallic components the vehicle body is discharged, there can be corrosion damage occur.
From the practice of the applicants, it is already known finished molded bodies of flake composite foam still after impregnated with a water-repellent coating, thus the previously indicated disadvantage of such moldings no longer occurs. This means a retro very much costly and expensive treatment of the previously produ grained molding, wherein the impregnation only at the Surfaces takes place.
The invention is therefore based on the object, a polyure To create composite foam, in which the previously ange give disadvantages of moisture absorption does not occur and in which a subsequent treatment (impregnation) not necessary is.
The stated object is inventively with the characterizing nenden feature of the first claim solved.
As hydrophobing agents are preferred in practice Wax with a melting or softening point between 60 and 140 ° C, especially between 70 and 90 ° C, the foam material fluff additionally added after the addition of the binder puts.
As a binder for the foam flakes is this one Prepolymer of diisocyanates, in particular a prepolymer Tolylene diisocyanate and polyether polyols added.
By way of example, the preparation of the erfindungsge according hydrophobic composite foam described.
In a mixer, 2 kg of flexible polyurethane foam, presented with a diameter of 6 to 15 mm. For this purpose, 0.3 kg of a prepolymer of toluene diisocyanates and polyether polyols were added as a binder with constant further mixing and this mixture for a further 10 minutes ge mixed. Subsequently, 0.2 kg of an ester wax, with a melting point of 79 to 85 ° C and a density of about 1.02 g / cm 3 , (HOECHSTWAX E Hoechst AG, Frankfurt) were added while continuing the Mischvor ganges, and again mixed for another 5 minutes.
Er besaß eine Rohdichte von 140 bis 150 kg/m3.The resulting mixture was then placed in a 40 × 40 cm base metal mold and the mold lid was locked at a distance of 10 cm from the mold bottom. The mold bottom and the mold cover of the metal mold were perforated to allow the subsequent process step, the evaporation of excess water siges. 150 ° C hot steam was pressed through the metal mold in the form of compri mierte mixture of the foam flakes, binder and wax through the perforated mold bottom during a period of 5 minutes. At a temperature of 50 to 60 ° C in the mold interior, the diisocyanate prepolymer began to react with the water vapor with crosslinking. This reaction was largely completed at the melt temperature of the wax, with the temperature inside the mold increasing to about 100 ° C during this time. Since a wax with a melting point between 79 and 85 ° C had been selected as the hydrophobing agent, it was not allowed any further energy input to melt the wax. The molten wax lay perfectly at the temperature in the mold interior on the cell webs of foam pellets. The hydrophobized composite foam produced in this way was pressed further and cut to the desired shape. He had a bulk density of 140 to 150 kg / m 3 .
