Abstract

A hand-held tool is used to punch a round hole into the corner (5) of a floppy disc sleeve (6) to provide identification for formatting as a 1.44 Mb disc. The hole is of a specific diameter and is in a defined location. The tool has a lower section (4) with a rectangular recess into which the corner of the sleeve locates. A circular punch on the top tool is tubular in section with a sharp edge formed for cutting through the plastics material. USE - Allows 720 Mb disc to be formatted as for a 1.44 Mb disc.
