Eine Feuerungsanlage für Dampfkessel ist desto besser, je weniger verbrennbare Stoffe
mit den Feuergasen nach dem Schornstein entweichen. Wenn man die Feuergase einer
Flamme zuführt, so wird diese desto lebhafter brennen, je mehr Brennstoff noch in den
Gasen enthalten ist. Hierauf basin der auf beiliegender Zeichnung beschriebene Apparat.
Derselbe besteht aus einer Glasröhre g, welche oben und unten geschlossen ist. Bei α wird
dem unten in der Glasröhre befindlichen Brenner c Leuchtgas zugeführt und bei b
können die Feuergase aus dem Fuchs oder der Rauchkammer der Kesselanlage durch einen verbindenden Schlauch eintreten. Der
Hahn d dient zum Einlassen von Luft und bei e wird Dampf zugeleitet, welcher in dem
