The invention relates to a pneumatic, conically shaped
Damming cuff, which due to its design with
comparatively low inflation pressures an extremities
can get anemia or get a blood congestion.
By dividing it into a pneumatically filled and a

put on the extremity.
The first pneumatic tourniquet was made in 1904 by Harvey Cushing

Circulation in surgery has proven itself to this day.
The lower extremities are generally cylindrical
shaped dust bandages of approx. 8 cm width are used.
In a study, Muirhead and Newman were able to demonstrate that
the widening of the cylindrical cuffs to 12.5 cm
Lowering the filling pressure necessary for ischemia contributed.
Klenermann described an accumulator in 1978, the shape of a crescent moon
better enclosed the limb. This crescent shape needed in

to fill independent air chambers, and the cuffs need to

Lateral application is possible for
cylindrical and conical cuffs. Conical dust band

Thigh. External fixation can counteract this
or a concept as embodied in the invention.
B. elastische Binden.
The invention has for its object a traffic jam
to construct the cuff with the least possible
Pressure allowed artery occlusion of the extremities.
The literature and own clinical preliminary examinations
led to the conclusion that pneumatic dust binders were theirs
Filling pressure more evenly on the underlying tissue
passed on than other systems, e.g. B. elastic bandages.
The filling pressure can also be easily measured with a manometer
check. From the also in own investigations
confirmed knowledge after the wider dust bandage

conical tourniquet are developed, both
Benefits combined. The technical task was also
to determine an operationally sensible breadth, and
to shape the circular cut of the bandage so that a
anatomically favorable system on the individually different
Thigh cone is possible. Because the conical dust band
also in widened form a rolling tendency on the thigh
showed, there was a way to recognize the
Investment position is maintained stable.
herabgesetzt.
According to the invention is a crescent-shaped, in the created
Condition conical dust band enclosing the extremity
to construct. The invention is based on the idea that
pressure on the one hand by means of a pneumatic filling chamber
the underlying tissue can be exercised, on the other hand
the tensile stress acting on the unfilled part
Compression of the tissue under this bandage leads.
The investigations of the invented dust band confirmed
that the combination of the conical shape with the widening
the contact surface leads to a reduction in the filling pressure, which leads to
Artery occlusion is necessary. This will make the
Pressure-causing harmful side effects on the tissue
reduced.
Die nachfolgende spezielle Beschreibung und Zeichnung (Fig. 1)
hat lediglich beispielhaften Charakter. The following specific description and drawing ( Fig. 1) is only exemplary in nature.

The semicircular blank has an inner radius of 70 cm and an outer radius of 90 cm as well as a cutting length of 75 cm on the inner radius. Two sheets of this shape are connected to each other at the arcs by welding or gluing, which is not necessary when using a rubber hose. A filling chamber 1 is created by inserting a valve 2 and two adhesive or weld seams running perpendicular to the tangent of the circle. On the filling chamber side, a bow bar 3 is attached. If a rubber tube is used, the outer side must be reinforced to prevent ballooning.
