Abstract
Description
Sheds, warehouses and weekend cottages made with corrugated asbestos are covered, they must be renovated or demolished in the long term because they are also subject to a weathering process and thus Asbestos fibers are released that are harmful to health. In forest and Parking lots must also be cleared of leaves and humorous approach be, which in turn due to mechanical action fibers can be released. Greening would make this one Largely meet requirements, on the one hand through averting of the weathering process and on the other hand due to the elimination additional surface work. Greening also has the advantage Reduce temperature differences and direct meterological Avert effects from snow, rain, and sunlight. The The weathering process is greatly delayed.
According to conventional methods, greening of corrugated asbestos roofs 12 is not possible, since the additional loads caused by soil and vegetation overstress the substructure and roof area.
The solution to the problem is found, on the one hand, in reducing the bending stresses according to a principle known from plate theory, in that the edge region of a single plate, which is determined by the dimensions of the beams, is narrowed by ribs 14 . This results in a reserve for additional loads resulting from the loads on the reinforcements themselves, the floor layer, the barrier and insulation layers and the vegetation.
On the other hand, the quick-growing evergreen plant, golden nettle (Lamiastrum galeobdolon) 9, is used as a roof plant, which manages with a very thin ground cover 5 from forest soil and humus and can spread quickly through the formation of new root and shoot shoots.
In claim 2 it is assumed that the total load Board, foil, substrate, snow and wind do not create a bending stress leads, which is higher than the permissible voltage.
This can ensure that the permissible pressure load of the roof is not exceeded according to DIN, although additional loads were applied.
With the procedure presented, the general functions and Requirements of a vegetation roof met.
The use of very light, thin-layered forest floor 5 entails further requirements in order to counteract erosion due to wind, rain and heat. This is achieved in that wooden rungs 4 are applied in the manner described at the outset, which contain the ground thrust in addition to the transverse reinforcements. This is also intercepted by the plants forming strong root balls that are interwoven like a mushroom.
The moisture is maintained in that the transverse reinforcements simultaneously ensure water retention, promoted by the wall shape and the trough 12 .
The water build-up, which is harmful because it can lead to the rotting of the root system, is avoided by creating outlet channels 6 which, in connection with the filter zone 11 , allow a very slow drainage and also aeration.
Possible dehydration must be countered by sprinkling as practiced in the garden, which also creates a fire hazard is encountered.
The preferred location under coniferous or deciduous trees leads to the favorable one Circumstances of the natural supply of humus on the roof. Furthermore there is no need to remove leaves from the roof.
In claim 2 it is assumed that the selected vegetation can withstand water retention.
The practice of the vegetation roof so described for commercial Purposes lend themselves: on the one hand from the low effort forth and the associated low costs in connection with the Saving of maintenance and renovation costs for the roof and the very large number of such objects as sheds, garages, warehouses, Bungalows, albeit the required static assessment of the Substructure and the roof area itself raise costs again could. On the other hand, the effort can still be minimized because also recycling material (PVC film, old carpets and floor coverings, Metal rods from the scrap, wooden rods and branches) are used can.
The plant substrate is sufficiently available in nature, it can on prepared surfaces on layers of film and moistened forest floor be used. The cultivated form is also suitable very well.
