Insbesondere wenn der Motor nach Ab trennung der Batterie (Klemme 30) noch nachläuft und der Gene rator Spannung in das Bordnetz einspeist, können gefährliche Spannungsspitzen entstehen, weil die dämpfende Last der Batte rie nicht mehr bereitsteht. Daher ist es beispielsweise bei Gefahrenguttransportern Stand der Technik, daß zugleich mit der Abtrennung der Batterie die Erregerwicklung des Generators (Klemme D+) mittels eines Relais auf Masse gelegt wird, so daß die Selbsterregung des Generators unterdrückt wird. Allerdings wird wegen eines Restmagnetismus im Eisenkern der Erregerwick lung weiterhin eine Spannung in der Läuferwicklung induziert, solange der Motor noch nachläuft. Ein weiterer Nachteil ist, daß bei leistungsstarken Generatoren, wie sie in Nutzfahrzeugen verwendet werden, vergleichsweise teure Leistungsschaltrelais eingesetzt werden müssen, um die Erregerwicklung auf Masse zu legen.A battery disconnection device is already known, which separates the battery from the vehicle electrical system by means of a manually operated disconnect switch on the battery. Damit ist sichergestellt, daß die Batterie erst abgetrennt wird, wenn vom Generator keine Spannung in das Bordnetz eingespeist wird. Die Klemme D+ am Generator 3 dient normalerweise dazu, über eine Generator-Kontrollampe, die mit der Klemme 15 verbunden ist und in der Zeichnung nicht dargestellt ist, einen Vorerre gerstrom der Erregerwicklung im Generator 3 zuzuführen, sobald der Batteriehauptschalter 5 über den Zündstartschalter 6 ge schlossen und das Kraftfahrzeug gestartet wird.
