Abstract

Shrinkage regulators (I) based on hydrocarbons, carbonyl cpds., etc. with a flash pt. of at least 38 deg.C are claimed for use in the prodn. of foamed plastic mouldings, esp. from polyurethane (flexible-integral PU foam, PU-RIM and PU-RRIM). More specifically, (I) has a flash pt. not below 55 deg.C. (I) is a high b.pt. petroleum fraction, decahydronaphthalene, tetrahydronaphthalene, a ketone (esp. 2-octanone, 2-nonanone or methylcyclopent-2-en-1-one) or an ester (esp. cyclohexyl acetate or n-hexyl acetate).
