Description

Verfahren zur Gewinnung halogenierter Kohlenwasserstoffe.Process for the production of halogenated hydrocarbons.

Zusatz zum Patent 409181. Addendum to patent 409181.

In the main patent is a process for the processing of sulfur-containing Adsorption masses described, which is characterized in that one on this Lets the mass of chlorine act. It has now been shown that this method can also be used to purify adsorbent masses Hydrocarbons, e.g. B. Benzene hydrocarbons or ethylene hydrocarbons, in the same way to remove and make usable. One simply guides here too Chlorine or chlorine-containing gases through the adsorption masses and catches the result of the occurring heat of reaction escaping, valuable in various respects Chlorination products. In order to obtain valuable bromination products, bromine can be used instead of chlorine in the process.

It is already known that a mixture of coal distillation gasesu via porous coal to conduct acetylene with chlorine or via charcoal loaded with chlorine from the outset, until the coal is saturated with the resulting chlorination products, these then have to be expelled in particular.

The present method differs from this essentially in that chlorine or bromine via a previously known manner with hydrocarbons loaded coal is passed for the purpose of their regeneration, in one operation Halogenation and almost complete expulsion of the reaction products takes place.

Beispiel. Example.

A system of adsorption towers with active coal is e.g. B. according to the method of the patent 398156 loaded successively with benzene, sulfur and ethylene. In order to revive the coal, the tower becomes more active with sulfur containing Coal, as indicated in the main patent, treated. Through the adsorption canister containing benzene chlorine is also passed in and chlorinated benzene hydrocarbons are obtained, and the same procedure is used for the ethylene tower, using ethylene chloride and hornologe chlorination products wins.

The chlorination products of ethylene and its homologues can be seen Use immediately or after suitable fractionation or in a known manner further process, e.g. B. you can use the ethylene chloride to glycol saponify, which is then optionally combined with the sulfur chloride obtained at the same time converts to ethylene chlorohydrin.

The remains of chlorinated hydrocarbons left in the coal are expelled in a suitable manner, whereupon the coal is used again can.

Instead of chlorine, you can also use bromine in the same way.
