Im allgemeinen ist verschmutztes Abfallpolystyrol nicht wieder zu verwenden und nur schwer zu entsorgen. Der zu beseitigende Ölteppich sollte eingegrenzt werden, z. (Patentanmeldung P 41 15 749.4), dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß auf einem schwimmenden Körper (I) mindestens ein Lagerraum (1) für zerkleinertes, geschäumtes Abfallpolystyrol angeordnet ist, aus dem mit mindestens einem Gebläse (2) das zerkleinerte, geschäumte Abfallpolystyrol zu mindestens einer Aufbringvorrichtung (10) gefördert wird, mit der das zerkleinerte, geschäumte Abfallpolystyrol in den zu reinigenden Bereich gebracht wird, und daß mindestens eine Vorrichtung (4) zur Aufnahme von mit Öl und/oder ölhaltigen Emulsionen gesättigten, geschäumten Abfallpolystyrolteilchen vorgesehen ist, und daß die gesättigten, geschäumten Abfallpolystyrolteilchen mit mindestens einer Fördervorrichtung (5) zu mindestens einer Durchlaufpresse (6) transportiert werden, von denen sie nach dem Auspressen zur Wiederverwendung zur Aufbringvorrichtung (10) und das ausgepreßte Öl und/oder die ausgepreßte ölhaltige Emulsion zu mindestens einem Tank (8) gefördert werden.1.
