Description
Process for the production of light-scattering hollow glasses, in particular Light bulb. Light-diffusing hollow glasses "- are usually manufactured in such a way that that clear glasses are subsequently matted or provided with a cloudy coating will. Often they are made from overlaid glass. These procedures deliver either not the desired level of light diffusing effect or they are relatively difficult to perform. When forming the subject of the invention Process «- these disadvantages are avoided.
According to the invention, the clear or, under certain circumstances, matted Hollow glasses have a light-diffusing, white-clouded enamel coating that is also colored may be upset. This coating must be very thin because the glasses are strong Are exposed to temperature fluctuations. To have a good light diffusing effect too achieve, therefore, an abundant addition of opacifiers is required. Such However, enamels do not give a smooth surface. According to the invention is therefore on the first, heavily opacified enamel layer, a second easily fusible layer is applied, which consists of either a colorless or a colored enamel and which gives a smooth surface after baking. The second layer can also Opacifiers are added, of course, only to such an extent that the achievement the smooth surface is not affected. When using a colored In contrast to the well-known, the upper layer is colored and at the same time tarnished Single layers achieved that the light absorption in the colored layer in low Limits is kept, since no multiple reflections take place in the colored layer can.
The manufacture of the glasses can take place in such a way that both Layers by any known method, e.g. B. spraying, dipping, etc., one after the other applied or baked together, or by that after application The first layer is burned in and then the second layer is applied and is branded.
