Description
By backing glass with water glass and dyes, polished artificial stone. Lashing imitation of marble is made with glass in a known manner Underlaid paper "which bears the colors of the marble. This imitation has the Disadvantage that the glass, in order to be stable and resistant, is @ correspondingly thick must be chosen. A mass has also been proposed, consisting of a mixture of latron water glass with powdered water glass. This mass has the disadvantage that they are kneaded, for example between two glass walls, without admission of air very difficult to dry and therefore subject to constant displacement, quite apart from that from the fact that the mass is not liquid. usable and therefore pouring in is not possible is. The invention overcomes this disadvantage by using water glass and dyes with the addition of asbestos flour. This mass even gives a spreadable condition enamel-like, quick-drying overlay that bonds firmly to the glass. The mixture can still be effectively mixed by adding a mixture of plaster of paris and Sulffite solution for stronger setting are supported. This mixture can be beneficial can be used in a liquid state for color design, in such a way that the plaster solution, poured together with the liquid and colored mixture of water glass and asbestos flour, flowing into each other hardened and the rock face is extremely favored.
The most varied of imitations can be made using the above procedure Finely polished stones, plates, vessels, tubes and the like made in a cheap way will.
