Die Erfindung betrifft eine wäßrige Dispersion, welche mindestens folgende Komponenten enthältThe invention relates to an aqueous dispersion which contains at least the following components
- a) ein Organopolysiloxan mit durchschnittlich mindestens einem, mittels eines Kohlenstoffa toms an ein Siliciumatom gebundenen, Rest R, der mindestens eine Amino- oder Amido gruppe enthälta) an organopolysiloxane having on average at least one, by means of a Kohlenstoffa toms bound to a silicon atom, radical R, the at least one amino or amido group contains
- b) einen oder mehreren Dispergatoren.b) one or more dispersants.
Solche Dispersionen sind aus der EP-A 03 42 830 bekannt.Such dispersions are known from EP-A 03 42 830.
The invention further relates to the use of such dispersions for the treatment of fiber materials.
Dies ist beispielsweise be schrieben in EP-A 03 42 830, EP-A 03 42 834, US 46 20 878 (=EP 01 38 192) und WO 88/08 436.It is known, fiber materials, in particular textile fabrics, with aqueous dispersions to treat which contain organopolysiloxanes. When choosing suitable products can Fiber materials, for example, soft touch and water-repellent properties mediated. As a result, organopolysiloxanes for textile treatment have already been used which have nitrogen-containing substituents, e.g. B. aminofunctional polysiloxanes to achieve a soft grip. In addition to amino-functional polysiloxanes (i.e., polysiloxanes NEN, which have substituents containing amino groups) have already been amido-functional polysiloxanes containing amido groups Substituents which may additionally contain amino groups. This is for example be in EP-A 03 42 830, EP-A 03 42 834, US 46 20 878 (= EP 01 38 192) and WO 88/08 436.
Dis pergierung in Wasser verwendeten Dispergatoren. When using aqueous dispersions of nitrogen-containing polysiloxanes according to the obenge As mentioned prior art disadvantages due to the there for the emulsification or Dis pergation in water used dispersants. So far, namely for the dispersion amino-functional or amido-functional organopolysiloxanes in addition to ionic dispersants those used by ethoxylation of alcohols, fatty acids or fatty amines he let hold. These dispersants are not environmentally friendly or degradable fully satisfactory in all cases.
The present invention was therefore based on the object, aqueous dispersions of amino or amido-containing organopolysiloxanes to provide excellent for the treatment of fiber materials, especially textile fabrics the, suitable, which give these fiber materials very pleasant soft touch and a Represent improvement of known siloxane dispersions with respect to the dispersing system.
Die Aufgabe wurde gelöst durch eine wäßrige Dispersion, welche mindestens folgende Kompo nenten enthältThe object has been achieved by an aqueous dispersion which comprises at least the following compo contains nents
- b) einen oder mehreren Dispergatoren,b) one or more dispersants,
und die dadurch gekennzeichnet ist, daß mindestens einer der Dispergatoren ein Alkylpolyglyko sid ist.and which is characterized in that at least one of the dispersants is an alkylpolyglycol is sid.
The dispersions according to the invention are an improvement over known siloxanes dispersions due to the fact that the dispersions contain at least one alkylpolyglycoside Dispergator included. The use of alkylpolyglycosides as dispersants for nitrogen containing organopolysiloxanes is not known from the prior art and has advantages be minus environmental friendliness and degradability. In order not to lose these benefits, should The dispersions of the invention normally only an alkyl polyglycoside or a Ge mixed different alkyl polyglycosides as a dispersant included; only in exceptional cases should conventional dispersants, for. B. in the form of ethoxylated compounds, in addition co-used be possible, but only then in subordinate quantities.
Although, as explained below, alkyl polyglycosides were known as dispersants and their Ver described for the dispersion of polydimethylsiloxanes, it was surprising that they also eig for the dispersion of amino- and amido-functional organopolysiloxanes NEN. That in this case storage-stable dispersions are obtained without application technology Disadvantages must be taken into account, had to surprise the expert, as known is that dispersants often suitable for the dispersion of polydimethylsiloxanes not can be used when dispersing amino- or amido-functional polysiloxanes should, so polysiloxanes, which differ significantly in their structure and in their properties Polydimethylsiloxanes differ.
The aqueous dispersions of the invention comprise at least one organopolysiloxane of hereinafter described type and one or more dispersants. In some cases It would be advantageous to use not only a single dispersant or emulsifier, but a mixture of two or more dispersants. Because of the advantages already mentioned, which Alkylpolyglykoside have, contain the dispersions of the invention in a Favor th embodiment, no dispersants other than alkyl polyglycosides.
The aqueous dispersions according to the invention contain as component a) an organopolysi loxan in which on average at least one radical R is bonded to a silicon atom. The off "average" means that individual organopolysiloxane molecules can also be present NEN, in which no residue R is included, but that the number of total residues R must be at least as large as the number of organopolysiloxane molecules. The dispersions of the invention may also contain several different organopolysiloxanes contain.
Unter Organopolysiloxanen werden Verbindungen verstanden, welche Gruppen der ArtBy organopolysiloxanes are meant compounds which are groups of the type
Vorzugsweise ist die Polysiloxankette unver zweigt, und die Anzahl n derin which all substituents D and D 'are monovalent organic radicals and n is a number of at least 10. All radicals D and D 'are preferably each by means of one carbon atom bonded to the silicon atom in question. On average, at least one of the residues D or D 'per molecule must be a radical R mentioned in claim 1 and explained in more detail below. However, it is also possible for a plurality of radicals D and D 'to be such a radical R, but this is preferably bound to one and the same Si atom at most one radical R. In a preferred Embodiment of the dispersions of the invention are the organopolysiloxanes of poly derived dimethylsiloxanes, d. H. all radicals D and D ', which are not a radical R, are preferably methyl groups. A part or all of these residues D and D 'standing for R are k but also for longer alkyl radicals, eg. B. with 2 to 4 carbon atoms or phenyl radicals. On The ends of the polysiloxane chain are preferably trimethylsilyl groups, it may be However, at one or both ends of the chain and radicals R of the type explained in more detail below, or longer alkyl radicals or phenyl groups are. Preferably, the polysiloxane chain is not branches, and the number n of
Einheiten liegt bevorzugt im Bereich von 50 bis 1000.Units are preferably in the range of 50 to 1000.
In the dispersions of the invention, the organopolysiloxane (component a)) by average at least one radical R per siloxane molecule. This residue R is a monovalent organi Scher residue, which is bound by means of a carbon atom to a silicon atom, d. H. at the one End of the radical R bound to the polysiloxane chain is a C atom. The radical R preferably represents a side chain of an unbranched organopolysiloxane, i. H. an organopolysiloxane in which no more than two oxygen atoms are bound to any Si atom are. On average, the organopolysiloxane can also have more than one radical R per polysiloxane contain molecule, but preferably are not two radicals R on the same Si atom.
If the organopolysiloxane contains several radicals R, then the individual radicals R may be mutually different be the same or different.
Unter offenkettigen Resten R werden einwertige Reste verstanden, welche keine alicyclischen, heterocyclischen oder aromatischen Ringe enthalten.R is a monovalent organic radical, which may be linear or branched, and a carbon must be bound to an Si atom. Preferably, R contains no C-C double or Triple bonds. The radical R must have at least one amino group or one amido group point. The amino group is preferably primary or secondary. It can be in the rest of R too several amino groups will be present, e.g. B. one primary and one or more secondary. Be especially favorable results in terms of soft grip and yellowing tendency of with inventions Textiles finished in accordance with the invention are obtained when the radical R is one of fenkettiger radical is that of both at least one amino group and at least one amido group has. In addition to such both amino and amido-functional open-chain radicals R may be present in the molecule also other types of radicals R, z. B. those that only one or more amino or only one or more amido groups. Under open-chain R radicals R are understood as monovalent radicals which have no alicyclic, heterocyclic or contain aromatic rings.
Besonders bevorzugt als Komponente a) erfindungsgemäßer Dispersionen sind Organopolysi loxane, die einen oder mehrere Reste R mit einer der folgenden Strukturen (II) bis (IV) enthaltenParticularly preferred as component a) dispersions of the invention are Organopolysi loxanes which contain one or more radicals R having one of the following structures (II) to (IV)
worin alle Reste R3, R4, R5 unabhängig voneinander für Wasserstoff oder eine Methyl gruppe stehen, mindestens einer der Reste R4 und R5 jedoch für Wasserstoff steht, R6 für Wasserstoff oder eine Hydroxylgruppe steht, t, y und z jeweils für eine Zahl von 2 bis 4 stehen und x für eine Zahl von 0 bis 3 steht.wherein all radicals R3, R4, R5 independently of one another are hydrogen or a methyl group, but at least one of R4 and R5 is hydrogen, R6 is Is hydrogen or a hydroxyl group, t, y and z are each a number from 2 to 4 and x is a number from 0 to 3.
Organosiloxanes which contain an open-chain radical R of the stated type are disclosed in US Pat Trade available.
Als Komponente a) geeignete Produkte und ihre Herstellung sind in den oben bereits erwähnten EP-A 03 42 830, EP-A 03 42 834, US 46 20 878 (=EP 01 38 192), WO 88/08 436 sowie in der DE-A 39 26 005, der DE-A 40 07 136, der DE-A 37 30 413, der US 36 55 420 und in der US 44 96 705 beschrieben.As component a) suitable products and their preparation are already mentioned in the above EP-A 03 42 830, EP-A 03 42 834, US 46 20 878 (= EP 01 38 192), WO 88/08 436 and in the DE-A 39 26 005, DE-A 40 07 136, DE-A 37 30 413, US 36 55 420 and in the US 44 96 705 described.
I)In another preferred embodiment, the radical R contains at least one piperazine ring and preferably no further functional groups such as amido or hydroxy groups. The carbon atom with which such a piperazinofunktioneller radical R to the polysiloxane chain is preferably bonded to a nitrogen atom of the piperazine ring, either directly or via an alkylene bridge, which in turn is represented by an -O-, -S-, or -NH-bridge member can be interrupted. Thus, such a residue preferably contains piperazinyl (1) radicals, although also products with piperazinyl (2) radicals can be used, d. H. those in which the carbon atom of the group R bound to Si directly or via a bridge to a carbon atom Tom is bound to the piperazine ring. Particularly suitable for dispersions of the invention are organopolysiloxanes which have a radical R with the following structure (I)
Textiles treated with such dispersions of organopolysiloxanes possess a very pleasant grip. In addition, there is a great advantage of these piperazinofunctional Polysiloxanes in their extremely low yellowing tendency, compared with other aminofunktio pure siloxanes. When the aqueous dispersions of the invention as component a) Or ganopolysiloxanes containing such piperazinofunktionellen R radicals, they selbstver additionally polysiloxanes with amino- and amido-functional open-chain radicals R of the type described above.

Die in der DE-A1 39 25 846 genannten Alkyl polyglykoside sind als Dispergatoren auch für die erfindungsgemäßen Dispersionen geeignet.in which L is a linear or branched, saturated or unsaturated alkyl radical with 8 Z is 16 to 16 carbon atoms, Z is an oligoglycoside radical and n is an integer from 1 to 5. The The term "on average" means, of course, that the alkyl polyglycoside is a mixture of products may be whose individual molecules differ in the value of n. These alkyl polyglycosides and their use as dispersants are described in DE-A1 39 25 846, but is the There is no indication that they can be used as dispersants for amino or amido group-containing polysiloxanes are suitable. The alkyl mentioned in DE-A1 39 25 846 Polyglycosides are also suitable as dispersants for the dispersions according to the invention.
In a preferred embodiment of the dispersions according to the invention are used as Kompo a) uses organopolysiloxanes in which certain ranges for the number of anwe R radicals are maintained in proportion to the number of silicon atoms present, unab depending on whether they are open-chain radicals R or piperazinofunktionelle radicals. If the number of radicals R is less than this preferred range, then the Effect exerted by the remainder R is still not optimal in all cases; if it is higher, you can increase the cost of the products without appreciable effect increase. The cheap area for the average content of radicals R is reached when in component a) the zah ratio of those Si atoms to which no R is bonded to those Si atoms Atoms to which a radical R is bonded is 5: 1 to 1000: 1. The at a certain butt lysiloxane actually present value for this ratio can be determined via ²⁹Si NMR spectroscopy - if necessary in conjunction with a nitrogen or amino group tion. The value of this ratio can be controlled in the synthesis of corresponding siloxanes.
A dispersion according to the invention preferably contains the components a) and b) and water in following relative weight ratios to each other:
These values relate to anhydrous products for components a) and b).
The dispersions according to the invention can be prepared by customary methods known to the person skilled in the art be prepared, for. B. by water and a dispersant or a Dispergatorge mixed submits and the organopolysiloxane stirred, optionally at elevated temperature and under assistance of suitable known homogenization devices.
Mikroemulsionen, erhalten lassen. Die Herstellung solcher Mikroemulsionen kann in Anlehnung an die in EP-A 01 38 192 und in WO 88/08 436 be schriebenen Methoden erfolgen.A great advantage of the dispersions of the invention is that they be in the form be especially stable finely divided dispersions, so-called microemulsions. The production such microemulsions can be based on the in EP-A 01 38 192 and in WO 88/08 436 be written methods are done.
Textilmaterialien in bekannter Weise weiterverarbeitet, z. The dispersions of the invention are well suited for the treatment of fiber materials, in particular of fabrics made of fiber materials. Especially the treatment of textile materials with dispersions of the invention leads to articles with a pleasantly soft feel with little or no pronounced yellowing tendency. The treatment of the Fa sermaterialien with dispersions of the invention can be done by known methods, z. B. in a padding process. Optionally, the dispersions are prior to their use diluted with water to a lower concentration. After treatment, the Fa ser or textile materials further processed in a known manner, for. B. dried and then if necessary still treated at elevated temperature. Textile materials which are advantageous with erfindungsge MAESSEN dispersions can be treated, z. B. articles which be made of cellulose fibers be or cellulose fibers. The dispersions of the invention can be before their Application may be added to other agents, which are commonly used for the treatment of Fiber materials are used. In this way, if desired, more Effects of textile equipment can be achieved. Known textile finishing agents that inventin According to the invention dispersions can be added, for example, cellulose crosslinkers.

In accordance with the method described in WO 88/08 436, 20 parts by weight of a 46% by weight solution of an alkylpolyglycoside in water, 15 parts by weight of a polysiloxane, 63 parts by weight of water and 2 parts by weight of 60% acetic acid were mixed together with stirring heated to a temperature of 70 ° C, held at this temperature for 5 minutes and then cooled. The alkyl polyglycoside used was based on the formula LOZ n , wherein L represents an alkyl radical having on average 10 to 12 carbon atoms (the alkyl polyglycoside used was a mixture of products which fall under said formula and have a certain chain length distribution in the alkyl radical L and in the glycoside Z n ). Z in the alkyl polyglycoside (APG) used is an oligoglucose unit. The APG solution was a clear liquid with a density of about 1.09 g / ml and a viscosity of about 660 mPa · s, each at 20 ° C.
The polysiloxane used contained side chains with Piperazinringen and corresponded in wesentli chen of the formula given on page 6, line 55 of EP-A2 04 41 530. The resulting microemulsion was water clear, yellowish, and nephelometric Turbidity Unit (NTU) of 28, measured with the Nephelometer "Analite" Fa. Novasina AG, Pfaffikon, Switzerland.
Das Polysiloxan war ein Polydimethylsiloxan, in dem ein Teil der Methylgruppen durch Reste der FormelBy the method given in Example 1 was a dispersion of 31 parts by weight of a aqueous 43% solution of an alkylpolyglycoside (APG), 20 parts by weight of a polysiloxane, 0.45 parts by weight of 60% acetic acid and 49 parts by weight of water. The resulting Microemulsion was water clear, yellowish and had an NTU of 34. The APG solution differed from that of Example 1 in viscosity at 20 ° C (470 mPa · s) and in density at 20 ° C (1.07 g / ml). The polysiloxane was a polydimethylsiloxane in which part of the Methyl groups by radicals of the formula
-(CH₂)₃-NH-(CH₂)₂-NHCO-(CH₂)₃-OH- (CH₂) ₃-NH- (CH₂) ₂-NHCO- (CH₂) ₃-OH
ersetzt war.was replaced.
A 37 30 413 be schrieben).Example 1 was repeated, wherein instead of the piperazinofunktionellen poly used there siloxans a polydimethylsiloxane was used in which a part of the methyl groups by N-cyclohexyl-3-aminopropyl residues was replaced (such siloxanes are in DE-A 37 30 413 be wrote).
