Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a clear, liquid, at temperatures from 10 to 35 ° C stable emulsifier concentrate based on sterols and / or wool wax alcohols and branched, saturated alcohols 16 to 20 carbon atoms.
Sterols and wool wax alcohols are known aids for production cosmetic and pharmaceutical preparations. In particular, they find Use for the preparation of water-in-oil and oil-in-water emulsions, which come in the form of creams, for example. For the production Such preparations often become commercially available emulsifier concentrates used the sterols or wool wax alcohols in a paraffin oil existing carriers included. However, such concentrates are at Nor painting temperature cloudy and must be even before further processing be stirred and heated. D. Kruse et al. have now shown that the solubility of lanolin, the chemically complex mixture of Represents esters in pharmaceutical white oils by hexadecyl alcohol Room temperature (25 ° C) can be improved (soap-oil-fat-waxes, 1971 (97) 827). However, they have no studies on the solubility of lanolin alcohols (wool wax alcohols) carried out in hexadecyl alcohol. Likewise little is known at temperatures below room temperature.
However, it would be desirable to use Emulsifier Kon to concentrate based on sterols and wool wax alcohols improve that they are in a wide temperature range against clouding are stable and can therefore be processed advantageously.
It was therefore the task to counter clear, liquid, at normal temperature Clouding stable emulsifier concentrates containing sterols and / or to provide wool wax alcohols. Under normal temperature temperature is understood to be a temperature range of 10 to 35 ° C.
Diese Aufgabe wurde erfindungsgemäß gelöst durch ein klares, flüssiges, bei Normaltemperatur gegen Austrübung stabiles Emulgatorkonzentrat umfas sendThis object was achieved according to the invention by a clear, liquid, Emulsifier concentrate stable at normal temperature against clouding send
- A) 7 bis 15 Gew.-% eines Alkohols ausgewählt aus der Gruppe der Sterine und WollwachsalkoholeA) 7 to 15 wt .-% of an alcohol selected from the group of sterols and wool wax alcohols
- B) 85 bis 93 Gew.-% eines verzweigten, gesättigten Alkohols mit 16 bis 20 C-Atomen.B) 85 to 93% by weight of a branched, saturated alcohol with 16 to 20 C atoms.
The emulsifier concentrates according to the invention are in a wide range temperature range from 10 to 35 ° C in clear, liquid form. this means a significant improvement over the conventional emulsifier concentrations emerged on the basis of sterols or wool wax alcohols in a carrier Mineral oil, since the latter products only come in at higher temperatures clear form.
Steroids are to be used among the sterols to be used according to the invention which have a hydro on the third carbon atom of the steroid structure xyl group and are therefore chemically attributable to alcohols. The steroids occur in all animal and plant cells. To their occurrence is divided into zoosterols, for example cholesterol, and Phytosterols, which are predominantly found in higher plants.
Among wool wax alcohols are in the sense of the German drug book (9th edition) complex mixtures of sterols and aliphatic alcohols to understand from the wool wax.
As branched, saturated alcohols (B), for example 2- Hexyldecanol, 2-octyldodecanol or other branched, saturated alcohols with 16 to 20 carbon atoms in question. Z is preferably suitable. B. 2- Hexyldecanol, which the applicant has marketed under the name Eutanol G 16 is distributed. But those are particularly well suited Emulsifier concentrates according to the invention, in which the alcohol (B) 2- Octyldodecanol is and by the applicant under the name Eutanol G is distributed.
The emulsifier concentrates according to the invention can advantageously be used Use manufacture of cosmetic or pharmaceutical preparations. They are particularly suitable for the production of formulations emulsions, preferably of the water-in-oil type. The on Basis of the emulsifier concentrates produced according to the invention or pharmaceutical emulsions are particularly characterized good storage stability. Storage stability is understood here that the emulsions have no separation or Show signs of creaming and that the consistency is almost unchanged; this means in particular that the viscosity of the emulsions is based the emulsifier concentrates according to the invention approximately in the course of storage remains constant.
