In der Zeichnung bedeutet a den Fahrradrahmen, b den rechtwinklig zu diesem gestellten Stab der an dem Rahmen oder an dem Rad nahe des Sattels auf irgendeine Weise (in dem Beispiel durch Anbinden) befestigt ist, wobei c die Verspannung beim Schieben des Rades darstellt, und die gestrichelte Linie cl die Verankerung zeigt, die beim Bergabführen notwendig ist. Es können aber auch andere Befestigungsmittel, wie Rohrschellen, Scharniere, Schlitzführungen, Klammern usw., verwendet werden, wobei die Anordnung getroffen sein kann, daß der Stab bei Nichtgebrauch an den Rahmen angelegt werden kann. Statt des Querstabes könnte beispielsweise auch die Fahrradpumpe derartig an dem Rahmen befestigt sein, daß diese herumgeklappt und als Querstab gemäß der Erfindung gebraucht werden könnte. Zur Erleichterung des Schiebens oder Aufhaltens kann der Querstab irgendeine Vorrichtung tragen, mit der er an einem Riemen oder am Leibgurt, Schultergurt usf. in Leibhöhe angehängt oder befestigt sein kann, so daß er die Körperbewegung mitmachen kann. An dem Querstab können ferner Vorrichtungen zum Schutz gegen Druck angebracht sein.
