Description

Verfahren zur Darstellung der Oxydationsprodukte von Kohlenwasserstoffen. Die Sauerstoffaufnahme von Kohlenwasserstoffen ' z. B. Paraffin, bei längerem Erwärmen an der Luft ist eine bekannte Tatsache. Diese Einwirkung des Sauerstoffs verläuft aber so langsam, daß sie praktisch zur Oxydation von Kohlenwasserstoff nicht in Betracht kommt. Es wurde nun gefunden, daß sich zur Beschleunigung der Oxydation besonders die Verbindungen von Mangan mit Harzen eignen, als Katalysatoren kann man abietinsaures Mangan oder Manganresinate, welche Gemische von Harzsäuren enthalten, nehmen. Behandelt man z. B. Ceresin mit Sauerstoff bei 14o bis i5o', so ist erst nach tagelangem; Durchleiten das Auftreten von alkalilöslichen Verbindungen zu bemerken; gibt man hingegen geringe Mengen eines Mangankatalysators zu, so ist schon nach mehreren Stunden ein wesentlicher Teü des Ceresins in alkalilösliche Verbindungen übergeführt. Läßt man Sauerstoff unter Druck auf die Kohlenwasserstoffe bei Gegenwart des 0 Mangankatalysators einwirken, so kann man die völlige Oxydation auf Stunden beschränken. Während bei der bekannten Verwendung von stearinsaurem Mangan als Katalysator eine genügende Oxydation erst nach 12 Stunden bewirkt wird, erfolgt durch Manganresinat eine solche schon in weniger als der Hälfte der Zeit, und es findet eine geringe Umwandlung der entstehenden Fettsäuren in wertlose harzartige Substanzen statt.Process for the preparation of the oxidation products of hydrocarbons.
