Abstract

The sensor detects dielectric properties and their relative changes of liquid, gaseous and/or bulk materials. An electrode (11) is connected to an RC generator (20) which is connected to a filter (30). The filter is connected to an evaluation unit (40) with a display. The filter is a passive and/or active type and can be a Phase Locked Loop. USE/ADVANTAGE - E.g. for on-board measuring of quantity and/or quality of motor vehicle brake fluid. The sensor can detect the state of diverse types of media.

Description

Die Erfindung betrifft einen Sensor zur Detektion der di­ elektrischen Eigenschaften, sowie der relativen Änderungen dieser dielektrischen Eigenschaften von Flüssigkeiten, gasförmigen und/oder schüttfähigen Medien gemäß dem Ober­ begriff des Patentanspruches 1.The invention relates to a sensor for detecting the di electrical properties, as well as the relative changes these dielectric properties of liquids, gaseous and / or pourable media according to the Ober Concept of claim 1.

Der erfindungsgemäße Lösungsgedanke besteht darin, daß eine kapazitive Meßsonde 11 in ein zu untersuchendes Me­ dium 10 hineinragt und je nach Zustand bzw. Zustandsände­ rung der Mediums 10 einen Generator 20 frequenzmäßig be­ stimmt. Mittels vorzugsweise einer PLL die als Filter 30 wirkt, liegt die generierte Schwingung im Fangbereich die­ ses Filters 30 oder außerhalb des Fangbereiches, wodurch auf die Eigenschaften des Mediums 10 Rückschlüsse gezogen werden können. So ist z. B. der Filter 30 derart einstell­ bar, daß mit zunehmenden Wassergehalt beispielsweise einer Bremsflüssigkeit, die generierte Frequenz im Genrator 20 aus dem Fangbereich des Filters 30 herauswandert, was in der Auswertung mit Anzeige 40 z.
