Beim Zusammenfügen der einzelnen Streifen zu einer Gesamtdarstellung, die der Originalvorlage zu entsprechen hat, ergeben sich insofern erhebliche Schwierigkeiten, als die Nahtstellen der einzelnen Streifen und somit die Linien der Zeichnung etwas versetzt sein können. Slipkorrektur), sodaß die in der EDV-Anlage gespeicherte Darstellung exakt und bei der Ausgabe wieder lesbar ist, ohne irgendwelche Ungenauigkeiten der Linienführung an den Nahtstellen. Sie entspricht somit der mittels eines Großscanners abgetasteten Gesamtzeichnung. Der scanner 1 ist somit mit dem Stiftschlitten 3 exakt über die Plottertrommel 11, auf der die abzutastende Zeichnung Z dicht aufliegt, bewegbar.
