Description

Method for weighing paper in the water with fillers. In paper production, most papers are made in bulk by adding Fillers in the finely divided state, e.g. B. kaolin, weighted and with glue, e.g. resin, starch, cellulose slime, glued. The process is usually such that the Pulp, such as rag pulp, cellulose, wood pulp, etc., in the grinding machines, mostly Dutch, slurried in water, ground and then put in water added dissolved fillers and glue solutions diluted with water. By further Addition of precipitants is used in addition to other effects such. B. the resin on the fibers pleases.

The fiber mass is then in great dilution (e.g. z: zco) on the Sieve passed to the paper machine and loses more here with the draining water or less fibers, fillers and glue. These losses can be lessened if not only the sizing agent, but also the fillers by special Treatment better bond with the fibers. The hitherto usual: air slurry devices and machines left the fillers in too coarse division, the consequence of which is poor adhesion to the fiber and large: 1b,; piil losses were. The new process now consists in adding the fillers alone or with other substances in homogenizing machines known per se to or crushed to close to the colloidal state and these colloids alone or with similar treated substances, including z. B. resin emulsion mixed solely by adhesion or be deposited by appropriate Fälhingsmittel on the fiber, whereby as a result of the intimate connection with the fiber, the rates decrease considerably.

B. mit Harzemulsionen, zugesetzt werden, worauf gegebenenfalls noch ein weiterer Zusatz von Fällungsmitteln erfolgt.PATENT CLAIM: Method for weighing paper in bulk Fillers, characterized in that the fillers (e.g. kaolin) up to or near crushed to a colloidal state alone or together with other substances and the fiber mass, possibly in combination with other similarly treated substances, z. B. with resin emulsions, whereupon, if necessary, another Addition of precipitants takes place.
