Description
Process for the production of precipitated phosphate. The production of dicalcium phosphate is usually done in such a way that the rock phosphates in an acid, e.g. B. hydrochloric acid, dissolved «-erden and the weakly acidic monophosphate solution with quick lime, Thomas flour, limestone, soda or other alkaline agents will. For this purpose, fluorine-free rock phosphates or those with a very low level are usually used Fluorine content, such as bone ash, or inferior, very lime-rich rock phosphates, a good fertilizer can be obtained without difficulty.
When using high quality rock phosphates with more or less However, a large amount of fluorine is formed when the weakly hydrochloric acid monophosphate solution is mixed Phosphate precipitation with alkaline agents, which is largely insoluble in citrate and citric acid is. It has now been shown that this fact through the co-dissolved fluorine compounds is conditional, and a precipitate which is completely soluble in citrate and citric acid is obtained if the fluorine compounds before the precipitation of the calcium phosphate removed. For this purpose, one can, for example, the acidic, fluoride or Hydrofluoric acid-containing monophosphate solution initially with a little quicklime, Calcium carbonate or other basic agents, e.g. the salts are strongly electropositive Metals, mix with weak acids, whereby the poorly soluble in neutral solution Calcium fluoride is deposited with a little calcium phosphate. The separated from the precipitate The monophosphate solution is then mixed in the usual way with that for the precipitation of the main amount the phosphoric acid required amount of quick lime, Thomas flour or the like. Added. That precipitated, phosphate-containing calcium fluoride can of course be used to utilize the phosphoric acid content, optionally also the fluorine content, in a suitable manner, for. B. by means of sulfuric acid, be worked up.
