Description
The invention relates to a roof garden with thermal and moisture insulation for Plants from a reinforced concrete ceiling on top of a building arranged layer of insulation, a roof waterproofing membrane with or without Water retention membrane, a drainage layer and a filter mat, as well as on the top with a layer of earth substrate for deep-rooted planting.
In such roof gardens, which as water storage systems and running as non-water storage systems are for the roof gardens necessary layers in general on the upper egg applied from thermally insulated and sealed roofs.
Due to the changed temperature conditions compared to The plantings on such roofs are natural soil exposed to considerably more extreme climatic fluctuations, as the balancing storage effect of a larger mass of earth on the Bo which is eliminated and thus the temperature and humidity ratio se in the root area of such roof garden plants only from the Outside temperature and the duration of frost, dry and heat periods to be determined. The insulation thickness under the ground and the interior temperatures of the building have less on flow, because the temperature conditions in the root area of the plants almost only influenced by the insulation value of the layers above this range to be flowed.
Many types of plants are therefore not suitable for roof gardens and there are even plants with longer periods of frost, which are considered particularly hardy.
A roof garden is known from the German construction newspaper No. 4/1979, in which the building ceiling first has a separating layer, then possibly one Vapor barrier and a leveling layer made of polyurethane is applied. Around Avoiding mechanical damage to the roof seal is then one Roofing membrane made of bitumen or plastic provided below one Layer of insulation protection mats and a root protection film arranged above is misplaced. A kind of drainage and filter layer is in shape on this root protection film provided by special rigid foam elements.
The known problem of rapid cooling and drying out of the plantable substrate is also given in this roof garden.
The invention has for its object a roof garden with a heat and To provide moisture insulation for such plants on roof gardens fen, at which the temp temperature conditions created and also in summer rapid drying of the soil can be prevented.
To solve this problem, the invention provides that the top of the layer of earth substrate is another top layer of insulation fabric is applied.
This arrangement of another layer of insulation on top of Soil becomes more favorable conditions for the respective plants created, d. H. it becomes a largely frost-free root area shielded and it is closed by the additional insulation layer prevents rapid drying out.
This upper layer of insulation is expediently made of sheets of extrusion dated polystyrene foam because of its low thermal conductivity and does not become soaked with water.
It is useful if the polystyrene foam plates Ausausun gene for deep-rooted planting.
The polystyrene foam sheets can be with a Be coated and / or covered with a layer of gravel.
But it is also possible to cover the top of the polystyrene foam to be provided with extensive planting. Further advantageous configurations are described in the remaining subclaims.
Based on a schematic drawing, the structure and mode of operation are of an embodiment explained in more detail. The only one shows Figure with a longitudinal section through part of a roof garden appropriate planting and coating.
As can be seen from the drawing, a layer of insulating material 2 , preferably made of extruded polystyrene foam sheets, is first applied to the top of a reinforced concrete ceiling 1 that closes the roof on the roof, and a conventional roof waterproofing membrane 3 in the form of a film or bitumen waterproofing membranes is applied above it.
In a system with water storage, which is to be described in the present exemplary embodiment, another sealing membrane is provided above the roof membrane 3 as a root protection membrane and at the same time as a water retention membrane 4 , on which there is a drainage layer 5 for the water, generally in the form of a layer of gravel, a filter mat 6 and finally the actual layer 7 is earth substrate.
This layer 7 earth substrate can generally only store heat and moisture or give off according to their existing thickness, since it is not homogeneously connected to other soil.
In order to prevent rapid cooling of the layer 7 earth substrate in winter and rapid drying out in summer, a further upper layer 8 of insulating material is placed on the top of layer 7 earth substrate according to the invention. This insulating material is expediently made of sheets of extruded polystyrene foam in the same manner as the lower layer of insulating material 2 , the sheets being placed as close as possible to one another with overlap or overlap.
For the passage of, for example, deep-rooted planting 9 , the plates are provided with corresponding cutouts 10 , these cutouts 10 either being retrofitted into the polystyrene foam plates or else prefabricated plates being laid with cutouts 10 .
The plates can also be provided with a special coating 11 or - as can be seen on the left half of the figure - have a gravel layer 12 or extensive Be planting 13 .
It is useful if the upper layer 8 of insulation is thicker than the lower layer of insulation 2 by up to 50%. As appropriate a thickness of the upper layer has been found to 8 insulation of 6 cm, wherein - up to an outdoor temperature of minus 20 ° C below the upper layer prevail 8 insulation plus temperatures - depending also on the moisture content of the Darun terliegenden soil.
It has proven to be essential that a lower layer of insulating material 2 is always present. In the case of heated rooms underneath, the temperatures in the root area of the plants would otherwise be too high in winter because the soil alone is not very well insulated and the difference to the room temperature below would remain relatively small. A higher temperature in the absence of lower insulation would also mean that the moisture in the root area diffuses more quickly, which would also be disadvantageous.
All in all, with this upper insulation layer covering the layer 7 earth substrate, the upper layer 8 insulation material is provided with more favorable conditions by creating a practically frost-free root area for the respective plants, and drying out too quickly in summer is prevented. Finally, this system also improves the economy and, if the upper insulation layer and the planting are designed accordingly, maintenance work can also be simplified.
The advantages of this new construction are not only effective in roof gardens over heated rooms, but it will be also improvements in roof gardens over z. B. not heated Garages or parking spaces occur because of the top cover a longer cooling down or heating up time is guaranteed.
