In Abb. i und 2 ist ein Resonanzboden dargestellt, welcher aus zwei Brettern ca und b besteht. In der Mitte dieses Bodens befindet sich die Schallöffnung oder -leiteng c zum Austritt der Schallwellen. Die Brettchen ca und b werden nun, bevor sie zum Verleimen kommen, mit Längsnuten d versehen und sodann aufeinandergefügt. Dadurch bilden dieselben, wie die Abb. 2 zeigt, horizontal durch die Resonanzplatte verlaufende Kanäle. Am Außenrande werden die Kanäle d mit entsprechenden Holzpfropfen e verschlossen, während die Öffnungen, welche in der Schallaustrittsöffnung c münden, offen bleiben.
