Abstract

An ink ribbon cassette has a flat base plate with a rigidly attached pot-shaped top. The ribbon passes from a supply spool out through one aperture and back through another to a take-up spool. The apertures are in protruding guide arms holding the ribbon tensioned between the type carrier and print position. Die Fig. 1 zeigt eine Farbbandkassette 1, die aus einem topf förmig ausgebildeten Oberteil 3 und einer mit dieser fest ver bundenen ebenen Bodenplatte 5 besteht. In dieser Farbbandkassette 1 sind eine Vorratsspule 7 und eine antreibbare Aufwickelspule 9 drehbar gelagert, wobei das Farbband 11 beim Abwickeln von der Vorratsspule 7 durch eine Austrittsöffnung 13 aus dem Inneren des Kassettengehäuses herausführ- und mittels einer Eintrittsöffnung 15 zu der Aufwickelspule 9 leitbar ist. Die Eintrittsöffnung 13 und die Austrittsöffnung 15 sind in vorstehenden Führungsarmen 17, 19 an dem Kassettengehäuse angeordnet, durch welche das Farb band 11 zwischen einem Typenträger und der jeweiligen Abdruck stelle auf einem Aufzeichnungsträger gespannt gehalten wird. Die Aufwickelspule 9 weist einen Kern 21 mit einer kreuzschlitz artigen Ausnehmung 23 auf, die mit dem Aufsetzen der Farbband kassette 1 auf eine Aufnahmevorrichtung 25 mit von einem nicht dargestellten Antriebsmotor getriebenen schneidenförmigen An triebselement 27 kuppelbar ist.
