Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to the use of Polyethylene glycols in the elimination of pollutants the human and animal body.
(Fed. Proc. 35, 2400 (1976)).The increasing pollution of our entire environment substances leads to the end link of the food chain in humans inevitably leads to an accumulation of harmful substances, their impact on human health in their entire extent cannot yet be foreseen. So be stands with both doctors and the general public considerable uncertainty about the risk to the Breastfeeding infants, since breast milk e.g. T. with high Pollutant concentrations is loaded. (Effects of Air pollution on human health. Report of the Federal Minister for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety 1987.) Diseases caused by absorption of pollutants have occurred are e.g. B. that in the southwest of Japan kicked yusho caused by polychlorinated dibenzofuran (Chemosphere, 7, 771-777 (1978), Chemicals 8, 259-266 (1979)) or Porphyria cutanea, an epidemic in Turkey tarda caused by seeds treated with hexachlorobenzene wheat. (Fed. Proc. 35, 2400 (1976)).
Because of the high fat solubility of such pollutants and the resulting deposition in the adipose tissue is Half-life in the organism very high.
There is still no practical method for eli in the literature Mination of fat-soluble pollutants described without larger side effects u. U. performed over a long period can be. The use of squalane to eliminate Pollutants are described in the application P 39 19 789.1, however, squalanes by hydrogenating shark liver oil Squalens won, supply bottlenecks could occur tion arise.
Durch die Untersuchungen von Richter et al. (Xenobiotica 13, No. 6, 337-343 (1983), J. Environ. Sci. Health 17/3, 195-203 (1982), Chem. The investigations by Richter et al. (Xenobiotica 13, No. 6, 337-343 (1983), J. Environ. Sci. Health 17/3, 195-203 (1982), Chem. Biological Interactions 40, 335-344 (1982)) and Yoshimura et al. (Fukuoka Acta Medica 76, 184-189 (1985)) is known to orally administered squalane the elimination of dibenzofurans, Hexachlorobiphenyl, Pentachlorobiphenyl and Hexachlorobenzene accelerated through the intestine by the solubility these pollutants in squalane ensures the removal becomes. This creates a concentration gradient between blood and maintain the aqueous phase of the intestine and maintain a constant Diffusion of the substances to be eliminated into the intestine enables. Chlorinated hydrocarbons are very high in the polyethylene glycols readily soluble (Hoechst polyglycols, Hoechst information brochure 1986), so that these polyethylene glycols when administered orally can be used according to claim 1. The mode of action corresponds to that of Richter et al. for the squalane benen. This applies to all chlorinated hydrocarbons, Ben hydrocarbons and phenolic compounds. Since everyone dissolve fat-soluble pollutants in the polyethylene glycols, (personal communication from Hoechst; active substances in plants Protective and pesticides, physical.-chemical Data from the Industrial Association for Plant Protection 1982 page 38) is here by also eliminating substances like chlorophenothane (DDT); Polychlorinated biphenyls; Tetrachlorodibenzodioxin (TCDD) and dibenzofurans possible.
(Xenobiotica 6, No. 7, 425-429 (1976)). (Zorn, Zbl. Arbeitsmed. 1979/8, 204-207).Matthews et al. have the excretion of hydrocarbons with Described using the skin sebum. (Xenobiotica 6, No. 7, 425-429 (1976)). The lipophilic property of the sebum components is Cause for the diffusion of e.g. B. fat-soluble coal water substances from the skin into the sebum. An additional perm ation of fat-soluble hydrocarbons be sufficient that polyethylene glycols according to claim 2 applied to the skin. The reason for this is 1. the osmot. Efficacy of polyethylene glycols (Polyglykole Hoechst, Infor brochure Hoechst 1986) and 2. the solubility of the Chlorinated hydrocarbons in polyethylene glycols. This sub have been punching for a long time when removing percutaneously absorbable poisons as part of the emergency First aid used in accidents, since the Polyethylengly kole can remove these substances from deeper layers of the skin nen. (Zorn, Zbl. Arbeitsmed. 1979/8, 204-207).
The use of polyethylene glycols has a positive effect bypassing excretion via the liver. This eliminates a potential risk from metabolism of the Avoided pollutants.
The use of polyethylene glycols to eliminate harmful substances Substance is interesting for the following health risks:
- 1. Bei erhöhten Schadstoffkonzentrationen in der Muttermilch.1. With increased pollutant concentrations in breast milk.
The ho. For industrial workers and farmers hen exposed to concentrations of pollutants are. Here the polyethylene glycols can be both prophylactic table to avoid a high concentration of pollutants in the organism as well as in oral form therapeutically z. B. after accidents with inclusion of a harmful one Pollutant concentration can be used.
(Louisiana Agric. 19 (1976) 6).3. By adding polyethylene glycols in the feed of slaughter animals and dairy cattle can reduce the concentration of pollutants in meat and drinking milk. Under Searches from the USA prove the pollution of Cattle. (Louisiana Agric. 19 (1976) 6).
Finally, the use of polyethylene glycols of the population to minimize some of the knew damage from fat-soluble substances.
(Polyglykole Hoechst, Informationsbroschüre Hoechst 1986).According to available studies, the polyethylene glycols no risk to health. They are widely used as Excipients in ointments, suppositories, globules, injection preparations advise, gelatin capsules, tablets and dragees. (Polyglycols Hoechst, information brochure Hoechst 1986).
