Die bekannten elektrischen Kupplungsvorrichtungen, die den elektrischen Strom von einem Fahrzeug zum andern überleiten, weisen meist den Ubelstand auf, daß die Herstellung des Kontaktes zwischen den betreffenden Kupplungsteilen nicht selbsttätig vor sich geht. Auch läßt sich das Entkuppeln nicht von selbst bewerkstelligen, sondern der Strom muß zuerst in den Durchgangsleitungen zu den Kupplungen unterbrochen werden. Im weitern, sind die bekannten Kupplungssysteme empfindlich gegen Auslenkungen in Geleisekurven, indem hier leicht Störungen in der Stromübertragung eintreten können.
