Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a method for preventing damage a machine or device with repetitive Periodic moving parts that wear or a Damage is subject to and with increasing wear or damage has increased sound radiation.
For valuable machines or machines that work for one Machine damage with a high risk of danger is a considerable maintenance effort. Parts subject to wear are classified according to a specific Operating time exchanged although an actual damage is only would happen much later.
It is known to protect an internal combustion engine, which is used for Exhaust emissions and fuel savings with one particularly lean mixture is operated and in certain Operating areas misfire occur due to knock sensors to identify these misfires and at a heaped A change in the operating conditions automatically occurs initiate, for example by changing the fuel injection quantity or by reducing the load.
In avoiding the disadvantages described, the present invention the object of a method of to optimize the type mentioned above so that the necessary preventive maintenance as soon as possible actually expected damage can be carried out.
To achieve this object, the invention provides that in Dependency of a given time or period of time in rotation at least in the case of a wearing machine part Sound radiation determined and the certain value with a predetermined predetermined limit value is compared, and that a signal or if the specified limit is exceeded a message is issued.
Such machine monitoring can also be done early extraordinary damage found and timely Repair can be arranged without the actual too expected damage occurs. Because of the consequential damage avoided can achieve significantly improved operational safety and an unexpected total machine failure can be avoided.
Damage monitoring can be practically continuous during of the whole operation of the machine or only in certain Time intervals, e.g. when starting daily or otherwise required maintenance work performed routinely will.
To avoid false positives can be particularly advantageous Only when multiple exceedances occur Limit in order a signal or message be issued.
It can be used as a comparison value in the period of time Maximum value can be compared with the specified limit value. It can also be a total of measured values over a predetermined Time period determined and this average one accordingly set limit are compared.
Particularly good surveillance security is achieved if the values of sound radiation only at a given one Operating condition is determined, especially one predetermined speed, with certain load and / or Temperature the other possible influences of the determined Exclude values if possible.
A particularly high monitoring quality can be achieved if each sensitive component to be monitored has a special one Limit and, if necessary, a special sensor is assigned. The The sensors used can then be optimally connected to the special Places of the machine to be attached to a new one occurring fault can be determined most easily.
Universal surveillance, including threatening unexpected Damage to unsupervised points can be determined can be done in that the entire sound profile of a work cycle and monitored with a predetermined Limit profile is compared, then when exceeding individual values of the limit profile a signal or a message is issued.
Can be particularly advantageous for monitoring a machine with revolving crankshaft in the main bearings in one Machine housing is mounted and the connecting rods with each a piston cooperates, the individual components assignable operating noises occur, these Operating noise, preferably at idle or one defined speed of the crankshaft of the machine load and possibly the operating temperature depending on the crank angle recorded and assigned with the individual components Limit values are compared, then when exceeded a predetermined limit for the component in question Signal is emitted. With such monitoring, then be specified exactly for which component soon Exchange is necessary. With an internal combustion engine For example, sensors can be arranged for each individual piston. It it is known that an idle when changing loads Enlargement of the bearing play through increased noise radiation can be recognized. With increasing piston play, the Load reversal tilting noises are detected, respectively occur at a specific crankshaft position. The Noise monitoring is therefore only necessary for the respective cylinder in a relatively small angular position range of the crankshaft be monitored. Due to the temporal occurrence in Operating cycle, the noise that occurs can the individual Components are assigned precisely, so that even with only a sensor with a correspondingly exact time division monitoring practically all expected wear damage can be determined before any essential Damage occurs.
In the accompanying Fig. 1, a piston which is radiated vibration level for a machine part, for example. Recorded over the entire lifetime. With a new engine that has not yet broken in, the vibration level is relatively high and decreases with the break-in phase. In the case of machine parts whose failure has high consequential damage, the endangered machine part is usually replaced at a specified maintenance time. As can be seen from the sketch, such a component could still be used for a long time without difficulty. Only after some time with increasing wear does the vibration level increase, indicating that a repair is necessary. This repair does not necessarily have to be carried out immediately after detection, but soon to avoid a failure.
In Fig. 2 a schematic representation of a motor section is shown, is rotatably supported in a motor housing 2 in which a crankshaft 1. This crankshaft 1 is connected to a piston 4 via connecting rods 3 . Valves 5 are provided for controlling the combustion air. To monitor damage, sensors 6 , 6 ', 6 ''are arranged on the engine housing 2 in the area of the crankshaft 1 in the area of the top dead center of the piston 4 and in the area of the valves. These sensors 6 are connected to a data acquisition 7 , which evaluates the measured vibration levels and compares them with predetermined limit values. If one of the predetermined limit values is exceeded, a signal is emitted or a corresponding message is issued via a signal generator that the part associated with the limit value violation, for example a piston 4 , a valve 5 or an associated rocker arm, will soon fail. The signal generator can be in the form of a data printout, for example, or by means of appropriately arranged and switched signal lamps, light-emitting diodes or the like. The actual maintenance intervals of the machine can thus be significantly extended without increasing the risk of unexpected machine damage occurring.
