Gegenstand vorliegender Erfindung ist eine Trocken- oder Füllbatterie für elektrische Taschenlampen, welche ohne besondere Batteriehülse unmittelbar die Lampe aufnehmen kann. Diese Batterie kennzeichnet sich dadurch, daß die eine Polfahne, z. B. die Kohlekontaktfeder oder ein sie ersetzendes Überleitungsorgan (Draht o. dgl.), mit einer Einsteckhülse für die Lampe, z. B. einen federnden Ring, leitend verbunden ist. Die andere Polfahne liegt isoliert von der Einsteckhülse zentral an ihrem Boden, so daß sie unmittelbar als Lampenmittelkontakt dienen kann.
