Description
Zusatzpatent zum Hauptpatent Nr. 256960. Elektrischer Leuchter.
Additional patent to main patent No. 256960. Electric chandelier. The present invention is a further embodiment of the elec trical chandelier described in the claim of the main patent.
In the accompanying drawing, this electric chandelier is shown in an exemplary embodiment, namely: Fig. 1 shows the electric chandelier in the crack, while Fig. 2 illustrates the same in plan.
In the example shown, the candlestick, which is in the form of a candle holder, has a plate 2 provided with feet 1, which also has a handle 3. In the plate 2 sits the pipe socket 4, in which a candle-imitating sleeve 5 is inserted, which is secured by bayonet lock 6, while 7, the electric light bulb is characterized. The battery 8 is inserted. not as in the embodiment of the main patent in the sleeve 5, but is outwardly not visible as a flat battery in a under the Tel 2, formed by the jacket 13 and the bottom plate 11 cavity 10 on the bottom plate 11. The bottom plate 11 rests on two inwardly directed tongues 12 of the sheet metal jacket 13.
A recess 14 located in the Bo denplatte 11, which is slightly larger than the tongues 12, made it possible to remove the base plate from the jacket by rotating it when the recess 14 is in the same position with respect to one of the two tongues 12 is brought. A contact screw 9 is threaded with Ge in the jacket 13 and serves as an on and off switch by being moved against or from the contact blade 15 of the battery 8. The other contact lamella 16 presses ge conditions an insulated contact bar 17 which protrudes into the center of the plate 2.
From this the electrical connection to the light bulb 7 is established via a spiral spring 19 provided with contact heads 18, the latter lying in a longitudinal bore 20 of an insulating body 21 pushed into the sleeve 5. The other electrical conductor is formed by the pale of the candlestick.
The design described has the advantage over the construction described in the main patent that a 4-volt battery can be used. The electrical energy output from stick batteries is usually of much shorter duration.
A rotary switch can of course also be used in place of the contact screw.
