Die Erfindung hat zum Gegenstande einen in die Wasserrohrleitung einzuschaltenden Wasserbehälter, welcher sich sowohl in der äufseren Form "wie in der inneren Einrichtung von den in Haushaltungen gebräuchlichen wesentlich unterscheidet. Der untere Theil des Behälters ist trichterförmig und von rundem oder eckigem Querschnitt. Die im Leitungswasser enthaltenen, als Verunreinigung desselben geltenden fremden und der Gesundheit schädlichen Bestandteile sinken zu Boden und sammeln sich dort an. Um dieselben selbstthätig und in kurzen Zeiträumen zu entfernen, ohne dafs eine Reinigung des Behälters von oben erforderlich ist, ist folgende Einrichtung getroffen: Der Boden B hat eine Oeffhung, welche durch das Ventil F verschlossen ist. Letzteres ist mittelst eines Drahtes mit dem einen Arm des Hebels H verbunden, dessen anderer Arm mit der Spülvorrichtung eines Closets in geeigneter Verbindung steht. Bei Benutzung der Spülvorrichtung wird das Ventil F gehoben'und die um dasselbe gelagerten Unreinigkeiten werden durch den Druck der darüber befindlichen Wassersäule durch das in das Closet mündende Rohr R ausgeprefst. Das Rohr r ist dicht unter dem quadratischen Theile des Behälters angeordnet und endigt in einen Hahn, aus welchem das Wasser für Küchenoder sonstigen Hausgebrauch entnommen wird.The lower part of the container is funnel-shaped and of round or angular cross-section. Abweichend von der bekannten Einrichtung, wonach ein oben offenes Ueberlaufrohr in das nach dem Closet führende Rohr einmündet, ist bei vorliegender Construction das Ueberlaufrohr durch das Klappventil k geschlossen, dessen Functionen durch den Schwimmer S₁ beeinflufst werden. Es hat diese Vorrichtung den Zweck, zu verhindern, dafs die in dem Rohr aufsteigenden Dünste aus dem Closet mit dem Wasserinhalt des Behälters in Berührung gelangen. So lange der Wasserspiegel in letzterem den Schwimmer S / nicht berührt, bleibt das Ventil k geschlossen; ein Oeffnen desselben und damit ein Wasserabflufs durch r_r findet erst statt, wenn der Wasserspiegel eine bestimmte Höhe erreicht hat.In contrast to the known device, according to which an overflow pipe open at the top opens into the pipe leading to the closet, in the present construction the overflow pipe is closed by the flap valve k , the functions of which are influenced by the float S _1.
