Greiferwelle in gleichgerichteten, senkrechten Ebenen angeordnet. Dadurch ergeben
Overlock sewing machine. The present invention relates to a
new movement of the upper looper and its drive in overlock sewing machines.,
The machine works with a needle and two thread-guiding hooks (one
Lower looper and one upper looper). Compared to the known gripper drives, at
which the gripper shaft is also placed diagonally upwards, i.e. diagonally to the drive shaft
and is also mounted diagonally to the needle bar, are the drive shaft and also the
Gripper shaft arranged in rectified, vertical planes. Result from this
the advantages, -that a lateral displacement of the gripper (catcher) is no longer necessary
and that the eye of the needle does not have to be placed on the side, but can be attached to the front,
so that the thread is in the same direction as the eye and the seam, in contrast to
the broken, serrated seam, forms a straight line.
Dabei
The drawing shows the drive and its movement. Included
corresponds to the drive for the gripper movement in Al: b. i to i- one turn
the machine. The drive is shown in Fig. I to 6. In Fig. 7 to 12 it is
the movement of the upper looper compared to that of the lower looper and the needle is shown.
Fig. 1q. shows the upper looper seen from above. Fig. 13 illustrates the head rapier movement
in addition to acceleration in relation to the lower gripper movement by means of points.
Beide Wellen liegen in gleichlaufenden
senkrechten Ebenen.
Abb. i und 7 dargestellt.
The gripper shaft 5, at one end of which the gripper block 9 with gripper
8 and at the other end of which the crank 2 is attached, is in the machine plate
rotatably mounted. The drive shaft q. is horizontal, the gripper shaft 5 on the other hand
mounted obliquely to the same, as Fig. ii shows. Both waves are in parallel
vertical planes. On the wave q. a crank i is attached, which on the other
End carries a ball 7 which is rotatable in the intermediate joint 3 in all directions.
The intermediate joint is also connected in an articulated manner to the gripper shaft crank 2.
The lowest position of the needle ro and the end position of the lower looper 12 is in
Fig. I and 7 shown. The upper looper 8 is almost at rest. How out
Fig. 2 and 8 can be seen, here the upper looper has reached its end position while
in Fig. 3 and 9 he has taken up the position as in Fig. z and 7 again. the end
These three positions can be seen that the upper looper of Fig. i to 3 and
7 to 9 has a very slight movement, i.e. an almost standstill. Since the
Machine rotates one sixth from one figure in the drawing to another,
so the upper looper stands still for two sixths of a turn and guides its whole
Movement during the further four sixths of a revolution with acceleration off. As
in fig.q. and io, the machine has turned a sixth further
and the gripper 8 travels through the loop of the gripper 12. Fig. 5 and ii shows
again a further sixth of a turn of the machine, whereby the gripper 8 its
has reached the highest position and its entrained thread of the needle OK to puncture
submits. Figs. 6 and 12 show a further sixth of a turn; here has the gripper
8 again assumed the position as in Fig. 4. and io. Another sixth of a turn
the gripper 8 arrives again in the position according to Fig. i and 7. From these described
Fig. I to 12 it can now be seen that the gripper 8 of Fig. I to 3 is stationary,
from 3 to q. the first acceleration, from q. until 5 has the greatest acceleration.
To clarify the movement, Fig. 13 shows the first acceleration of point
17 to 18 and the greatest acceleration from point 18 to i9 shown again,
on the other hand, the standstill of Fig. i to 3 shows so little movement that
this is not to be marked and is assumed to be a complete standstill
can. This has the advantage that the machine works significantly faster
can. Skipped stitches are eliminated and the thread tension is particularly tight.
