-Propeller.
The invention relates to a propeller with on the
Driving surfaces of the wings are essentially vertical fins, ribs or the like.
is provided, and aims, in addition to preventing radial scattering of the medium
to reduce surface friction.
This is achieved according to the invention: in that the ribs o.
Like. Are arranged such that the channels formed between them in the vicinity
the front edge of the propeller have a narrowing behind which
the canals gradually widen to the rear edge.
Es entsteht also
eine ähnliche Wirkung wie bei einem Venturirohr.Due to the arrangement according to the invention, the medium experiences a flow through it
a differential speed through the passages or channels between the ribs,
in the absence of which it is not properly suppressed either, because of
the friction of the adjacent surfaces. The medium learns at or near the
Leading edge a compression or increase of its pressure or its speed,
which gradually decreases towards the rear edge of the propeller. So it arises
an effect similar to that of a venturi tube.
in Abb. 3 in Seitenansicht. Abb. d. stellt die zweite Ausführungsform (Luftpropeller)
in Draufsicht und Abb. 5 in Seitenansicht dar. Abb. 6 zeigt mehrere Querschnitte
eines Propellerflügels. The drawing represents two embodiments of the subject matter of the invention
one (water propeller) in Fig. i in plan view, in Fig. 2 in end view,
in Fig. 3 in side view. Fig. D. represents the second embodiment (air propeller)
in plan view and Fig. 5 in side view. Fig. 6 shows several cross-sections
of a propeller blade.
When building propellers, be it for use in water or
Air, apart from other considerations, the slope is decisive.
The circumferential distance covered is less on the axis of rotation than on the circumference,
and if the pitch or slope were the same along the whole length of the wing,
so the work on the circumference would be considerably greater than on the axis of rotation.
In order to distribute the work more, the pitch of the propeller will be close to four
made the largest of the axis and nininii downwards towards the circumference. This finds
Not only does an even distribution of work take place, but the medium becomes
: also spread out towards the girth. This spread is intended by the invention
be limited and regulated. For this purpose, channels are made on the propeller blades
provided by specially shaped fins attached to the wings a,
Ribs b or the like. Are formed. The latter have a cutting edge c on
the front edge of the wing and form a narrowing groove between them
or a canal that has its narrowest point at d and then towards the edge
e gradually expands. In the drawing example, the central axes are
of the ribs L are concentric and the outer edges are eccentric to the axis of rotation.
But the invention is of course not limited to this. The one shown
Placement of the ribs or channels between them creates one in the flow of the medium
Venturi effect, so that the medium flows over the surface
the propeller blade experiences a differential speed. That speed
results in a considerable reduction in surface friction, not only
on the ribs or the like, but also on the working surfaces of the propeller. The height
uni position of these ribs o. The like. Is such that the work achieved evenly over
the propeller blades is distributed.
