Hold-open device for trams. Devices have already been proposed for regulating the carriage infeed to the conveyor shaft with main and pre-lock, in which the main locking bolt is directly connected to a brake plate that is slidably arranged on the track of the conveyor truck, while the pre-locking bolt is separated from the main locking bolt between the tracks in a vertical plane is pivotably mounted. These devices have the disadvantage that only the cars running against the main barrier are braked smoothly, while the vagaries that hit the pre-barrier are subject to a certain impact. This disadvantage is remedied in the subject matter of the invention in that the main and pre-lock consist of a single lever which is directly connected to the brake plate, so that not only the car that hits the main lock lever but also the car running against the pre-lock lever are braked smoothly. As the figure shows, the lever b is rotatably connected to the brake plate a and is weighted on the leg b1 by a weight c, so that the leg b2 is usually in the locked position. If a number of carriages now roll against the lock formed by the leg b2, the brake plate a drags along the .Schienen braking, so that the carriages slowly come to a standstill. If the first two carriages f and f1 are to be released and the third carriage f2 held at the same time, only the lever d with the catch g needs to be turned around in whichever direction in order to push leg b2 down and one leg b1 up at the same time. By pressing down the leg bz, the carriages f and f1 are released, and when the leg b1 goes up at the same time, the same is brought into the pre-locking position, the weight c being lifted. As soon as: the carriages f and f1 have left the brake plate a, i.e. no longer load it with their weight, the weight c, when the lever d is released, pulls the leg b1 out of its locking position and at the same time the plate a on the rails back so that the same process can be repeated.
