Description

Verfahren zum Raffinieren von Wlineralölen. In dem Patent 374928 wird ein Verfahren beschrieben zur Reinigung von Kohlenwasserstoffen mit Alkalien in der Wärme. In der weiteren Ausarbeitung dieser Arbeitsweise hat sich gezeigt, daß die Reinigung noch leichter bei Behandlung mit Amalgamen vor sich geht, und zwar führen dabei niedrigere Temperaturen schon zum Ziele; man kann sogar bei gewöhnlicher Temperatur arbeiten, allerdings muß dann die Dauer der Einwirkung ziemlich ausgedehnt werden. Es ist auch nicht unbedingt erforderlich, das Amalgam in fertigem Zustande zuzusetzen, sondern man kann z. B. bei Wasserbadtemperatur metallisches Natrium und etwas Quecksilber zugeben, die Vereinigung zu Natriumamalgam erfolgt dann häufig unter Zischen.
