Abstract

The electro-magnetic relay has an actuator coil assembly (2), a yoke (1), armature (3) and contact carrier (7). The armature element has an 'L' shape and is supported by the yoke in such a way that excitation of the relay causes contact closure due to a pivotting hole. The contact carrier is based upon a main unit (7) of insulating material that has contact support arms (6) fixed into the base. One arm is flexible and has the moving contacts. The carrier has a pair of side projections (7b) that have internally profiled edges. These latch into the main coil assembly for location.
