Abstract
The switch-trigger consists of an armature and a yoke, both of soft magnetic material, which are in close contact when the switch is closed. The pole-surfaces are sepd. by a min. airgap and at least one of the matching surfaces is coated with a thin layer of hard material, pref. contg. Ti, which has a hardness of at least 1000 HV. Pref. material is TiN in a 0.4-0.8 micron thick layer, which is pref. deposited on the armature and yoke by evaporation, pref. sputtering.
