Description
Verfahren zur Herstellung von Natriumpyrosulfit. Nach der Patentschrift 382983 wird Kaliumpyrosulfit hergestellt, indem man in einer konzentrierten Lösung von Kaliumsulfat Bariumcarbonat, Bariumhydrat oder Strontiumcarbonat oder Strontiumhydrat suspendiert und in die Suspension schweflige Säure einleitet. Es :hat sich nun gezeigt, daß man inanaloger Weise Natriumpyrosulfit erhalten kann, wenn man an Stelle des Kaliumsulfats Natriumsulfat verwendet. Man erhält auf diese Weise Natriumpyrosulfit in quantitativer Ausbeute. Die Reaktion erfolgt nach der Gleichung: Ba C03+NazS04+2S0..+H20=BaS04+Co=+2 Na HS0, oder SrC03+Na.S04+2S0z+H,O=SrSO,,+SO=T2NaHS03. Die Lösung des Natriumbisulfits wird dann vom Bariumsulfat getrennt und das Natri-umpyrosulfit in bekannter Weise zur Abscheidung gebracht.Process for the production of sodium pyrosulfite.
